I love Grey's Anatomy. I really do. Luckily for me, when my nieces visited a couple of days ago, they forgot their DVD box of the first season of Grey's Anatomy (which I hadn't seen yet), so I have been watching the episodes quite contently. I don't like Meredith very much though. I guess she seems a bit whiny and stuff, and always seems to be feeling sorry for herself. Plus, I think she looks like she's had too much plastic surgery - there's just something not quite right about her. I DO like Cristina (it's written without the -h, isn't that odd?) because she's kind of rude and tells things to your face. And George and Izzy are cool as well.
My brother was like "Ugh, I don't like Grey's Anatomy," but then he watched anyway and stayed for like TWO whole episodes, so I'm thinking he DOES like it now but just doesn't want to admit it. Ha!
Meanwhile, Alejandro Sanz' new CD leaked and so I finally got to hear Te Lo Agradezco Pero No, which is a duet featuring Shakira. I really really like it - somehow I had a feeling I would. People say it's typically Spanish, but it doesn't sound very typical to me. Anyway, I even made Te Lo Agradezco Pero No my nickname at MSN, because I can totally relate to it, you know, since it means "Thanks, but nah." That's my attitude towards lots of things in my life lately. I don't really know what the song is REALLY about though, because I obviously don't speak Spanish. Which is too bad, I know. I was planning on attending a course during the holidays, but then traveling and working at the library came up and stuff, and I didn't really have the time. One day.
To end this post with something more thoughtful and profound, I went to two exhibitions today in Brussels (which is, for those who do not know (SHAME ON YOU!) the capital of Belgium; it's both French and Dutch speaking, and is geographically more or less located between the Dutch/Flemish and French/Walloon parts of the country). Anyway, the one exhibition was on the work of a Belgian artist called Leon Spilliaert. His art is freakin' awesome, seriously. There's like this overwhelming sense of loneliness, of bleakness and darkness and quietness. It's really quite wonderful. The other exhibition was on the Egyptian sphinx and its many aspects - it wasn't quite as good, unfortunately.
