In case you don't follow my Twitter stream, which I know some of you don't (and that's fine!) you may not know how lucky I have been this week. And by lucky I mean not at all lucky. I've been horrendous. Allergies have been my enemy for going on a week now. It's hell, let me tell you. I haven't had allergies this bad since I was a little kid and there really isn't any abating of the sniffling/coughing/runny nose. I'm on Claritin and Flonase to help and it works okay but when I got to bed, I always wake up with crusty nose (TMI, sorry!).
On top of that, my external hard drive seems to be on the brink of dying. I can plug it in and it will work for like 2 minutes, TOPS, before it stops responding. I bought a new external in the hopes of transfering the files over but it doesn't seem to be happening since the old one won't stay connected very long. Has anyone experienced this? Anything I can do to fix it? I'll try anything!
April has been kind of a flop of a month I have to say. I can barely work out because I cannot breath most of the time. On the plus side, the allergies have seemed to kill my appetite so at least I'm not overeating during this terribleness. And there's still stuff to plan for summer reading at work and I don't feel at all motivated to do it with my allergies. I can barely work at the reference desk without having a coughing fit. If it would only rain here, that would help a ton but unfortunately, since it's Colorado, land of no water, it doesn't rain.
And that's about it. It's mostly a whining post, sorry to say folks. I'm losing just about all my music and tv shows since they are on my old external and I don't know what I can do and it frustrates me which then leads to a coughing attack.
I'm a big ball of joy aren't I?
Here's hoping you are all having a much better, allergy free April!
