So last night, I started my first re-read of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. Seriously, my first re-read since the book was published in July of 2007. There are so many details I have forgotten. It's like I am reading a brand new JK Rowling book. Yes, I remember some of the bigger moments, especially with help of the movie that I've seen three times, but there is a lot of humor, particularly from Ron, that I have forgotten. And the reappearance of my movie love, Viktor Krum, and just many tiny details that book does right that the movie couldn't do. It's been pure pleasure. I'm up to Kreacher's Tale right now.
I feel like I'm in love with Harry Potter all over again. It's really a fabulous feeling. I know I have many, many HP fans on my flist so I'm sure you know the feeling. Seriously, this is going to be the best 3.5 day break I've had in a long time, better in some ways than visiting Minnesota even. I can read to my heart's content (read HARRY POTTER in fact!), watch the Golden Globes tomorrow night, and just relax and know I still have Monday off.
Also, I'm reading my beautiful Bloomsbury signature edition Harry Potter book so it feels all British and special. :) Does anyone know, do the British editions contain no inside art work at all? Like, the US editions have the little sketches at the beginning of each chapter? I realize it would be different illustrators, but there are no images at all. Not a huge deal but I also did like the artwork too.
And finally, on a totally different note, I watched Easy A last night and it was adorable. Tonight, I'm going to watch The Town which I've also heard raves about. See, GREAT weekend!
