So far, Season 6 of HIMYM has been really good for me. I mean, these aren't the funniest episodes they have ever written but they aren't absurd and stupid either. Last night's Barney episode... very good! I was glad to see him as something besides a caricature of a skirt-chaser, again. I like that they explored his family and quest for his dad a bit more. And Wayne Brady is always fun to have back on HIMYM.
Even the season opener was quite strong! I hope the show can keep up the momentum and make this season stellar.
Not exactly the best show on TV but it's given me a few laughs and I like the actors playing Mike and Molly (Gilmore Girls alum!!). So, I'll stick with it. I don't watch too much on Monday anyway so this is ok by me. I'm hoping the show will get a bit stronger as the episodes (hopefully) continue.
Hm... despite getting quite a few shows online, I actually haven't been watching a lot of TV. So far, I'm behind on Boardwalk Empire and Gossip Girl. I'd say I'm behind on Community/Big Bang Theory but since they have only aired one episode yet, I'm still ok!
It's going to be 96 degrees here today. Shoot me now please. October 1st is Friday! I hate this still summer like weather. SO MUCH HATE.
Vegas is coming! I'm really excited. Got tickets for Blue Man Group and well, just lots of walking around. I plan to eat at the In-N-Out Burger there because I've heard so much about that restaurant but never actually been to one. And mostly I'm just excited to see the sights and enjoy a vacation away from work.
Today I went to Home Depot to pick up something for work. I've been there more in the last year than ever in my life and each time, it gets a bit easier. I'm not so intimidated by the many rows of hardware and wood and caulking and other things I have no idea how to use. I know it seems weird, but I consider this a minor accomplishment.
Hm, not much else going on. Working TONS lately, barely had a free weekend and that trend continues this weekend alas. But I have Las Vegas to look forward to and my birthday on October 18th, so good things in the month of October. And here's hoping October finally starts to feel like fall.
