so what happened to George??? I stopped watching Grey's but I've read some spoilers & I saw a picspam where it looked like he got burned (and was listed as a John Doe) but how did that happen????
I thought The Office was cute. I really liked Holly. I wish she would come back.
George, ever the hero, pulled a woman back from being hit by a bus but was hit in his place and dragged before the driver realized he was attached to the bus. His face and body really are really messed up. When he arrived at Seattle Grace no one knew who it was, that it was him, until finally towards the end he wrote on Mer's hand "007" a nickname for him which I don't remember him getting but oh well. And she realized it was George.
He got the nickname "007" way back in the beginning - maybe the very first episode - where he almost killed/killed (can't remember which) a patient. I think it might have even been Cristina who gave it to him. If not, she was the one who at least brought it up as to what everyone else was calling him.
Sometimes I totally forget George and Callie were ever married because they seem so disconnected. Not that has anything to do with the finale, but still, an observation.
I was just thinking that myself as I was watching the episode last night!!
And the finale... wow. I don't know what will happen with Izzie and George but I guess I'd hate to see either of them leave the show, but George, man, coming back from that... that will be tough stuff.
I don't think Shonda Rimes knows who she'll be letting out of their contract, so she left both their fates up in the air so one or both could leave.
Great finale though. Loved it despite the cliffhanger.
I think it was rather cruel how they kept playing with Izzie's fate - is she ok? Is she not? Whew! She is! Wait... she's not. She is! SHE'S IN AN ELEVATOR IN A PINK DRESS LOOKING AT GEORGE. Personally I really hope she makes it, and I THINK she will but I'm not sure. I've only seen the last couple of eps, but they make me actually like Izzie and Alex - they're rather cute and I'm happy they're married.
At first I thought they were only getting rid of George with the army thing, which seemed too quick and uneventful. But then, when it turned out he was "John Doe" - so good! I don't care for George too much so I don't really care if he's around next season. I thought it was an amazing twist - very creative and exciting. And terribly sad, but then, he saved someone. He meant the world to that girl...
Alex and Izzie have been really spectacular this season. He's been there for her, and just been a better man all in all, this entire season and it's been interesting watching him grow up in a lot of ways.
Though I do agree, they certainly are yanking our chains with the "will she die??" "she's ok!" stuff. I guess we'll see come fall.
