You amuse me.

Thank you all for your comments about Toby on my previous entry. I appreciate your support more than I can say. He seems to be fine though he did have an allergic reaction to his vaccine (his face puffed up) but a_good_storm was able to calm me down and see that while his face was swelled, he seemed to be ok otherwise (no weird breathing, swollen glands or anything). It helps having a future vet on the flist, I assure you.

I have to give a plug today for Banned Books Week which is well, almost over, but it was this week! And, I have to say, in lieu of the coming election, banned books and freedom of speech are more important than ever. I won't say they are the most important issues facing this election, obviously, but certainly banning books is just a step away from banning free thought. So, read a banned book. You can read more about it here also. Some of the most frequently challenged books include the Harry Potter series, And Tango Makes Three, Mark Twain books, Philip Pullman's His Dark Materials series, Catcher in the Rye, the list goes on. So, read a banned book and think for yourself.

Unfortunately, the job I had applied for here in MN seems to have fallen through, at least judging by their recruitment page. They sent out notices to those with the best ranking on 9/16 and well, I haven't received one yet. I think it's because of my lack of professional experience and with a new library, I guess they wanted the most experienced librarians. I don't really know I guess. It's disappointing obviously but I'm trying to not give up. Job searching is unfortunately one big bowl of depression. I haven't heard back on my other job apps yet either.

I had another point to make but I cannot remember it so I will say, I am going to reply to the comments on my previous entry. I've been lazy. Going to watch the VP debate tonight. Should be interesting. Only 16 more days until my 26th birthday. I cannot believe it. Still not sure what is going to happen but I'll think of something.

Hope you're all doing well!
