Deathly Hallows is getting closer and closer and I am just in a frenzy of anxiety. I want this book so much, I'm so excited for the midnight party and just being a part of all the Potter mania. I am having a very hard time concentrating this week I have to say, which is too bad as I have tons of homework stuff to do.
That being said, if somehow I am spoiled for DH, I will just explode. Seriously. So please, please flist, be careful about anything Potter related this week. Now since i know a large majority of you are also major HP fans, I'm sure I don't even have to say this as you'll have your own spoiler policy in place.
In other more normal, less excitable news, my life has been pretty mundane. I cut out of my 9-5 class early at 3 on Sunday. I just couldn't take it anymore and since we were just getting more group time, I told my partner I wasn't feeling well and left. I hope she didn't mind too much but I just had to get out of there. I was so tired and cranky. So yes, I'm going to work majorly hard on my grant this week so she won't be mad at me.
Yesterday at work I helped host the DDR party for the teen reading club. It was so much fun. Really! There was a good turn out in terms of teens who actually came and though this is the Playstation 1 version of DDR, and thus fairly old, the teens still stuck around for almost two hours of dancing so I was happy. I can see myself being a young adult teen programmer for a public library. I enjoy YA literature obviously and for the most part, I don't mind working with teenagers.
Let's see, I have a staff meeting tomorrow and a haircut (thank goodness!). My hair is so long (well for me) and shaggy feeling that I can't stand it. I can't wait to chop it off.
In other kind of exciting news, on the 29th of July I'm going to see Spamalot at the Ordway. I'm pretty excited for this too (though DH is still trumping in the excitement column.) I haven't been to a great musical in a long time so this will be a real treat.
I'm going to be cautious this week about spending too much time on the internet and visiting sites, just because I do not want anything to ruin HP for me. I have to go on Friday morning to pick up my wristband to show what place I'll have in line. Barnes and Noble is starting to hand the wristbands out at 9am so I'm going to be there by like 8:30 in case of a line. So, so so excited!
Hope you are all having a great week and that my fellow HP fans stay sane as the wait for DH slowly but surely winds down. I can't wait to read all the reaction posts!
