My childhood crush on Optimus Prime: totally justified!
Seriously, there is nothing sexier than a man (yes, I know he's a robot, but he's a MALE robot!) who is all set to defend humanity.
Other than Harry Potter, Transformers was THE movie I was looking forward to this summer. Forget POTC: At World's End, forget any of the movies I've seen so far. This was the summer hit for me (well, until HP probably, lol).
Honestly, this movie was just fun. It doesn't take itself seriously so it's just fun to watch. I mean, how could they take themselves seriously considering the movie is about robots? Shia was an added fun factor in this film, though the female lead was sucktastic.
I have to unfortunately say though, I couldn't really keep the Transformers straight past Optimus Prime, Megatron and Bumblebee. I can't even think of their names and I just saw the movie like a half hour ago. Oh well.
I loved watching them transform. It was just really neat. It's amazing what they can do with movies nowadays and Transformers is really a perfect example of that.
Anyway, though it's kind of long, it's still a fun summer flick.
Tomorrow and Sunday I start my second summer class. 9-5 both days. I honestly don't know what we will be doing for 8 hours. There is only so much lecturing, group projects and presentations, and group discussion students can handle. Really, it gets old fast and as much as I am an advocate for literacy, I don't know how I'm going to make it through 8 hours. Oh well. 3 more credits. I just keep telling myself that.
Other than that, no fun weekend plans for me. And well, no fun week plans either. Homework and work and I don't even plan to see HP until next Friday because my mom and aunt want to see it too and that's the only time they have free during the week. So... it's going to be a long wait for HP.
Also, today is my brother's 22 birthday. I made him a cake yesterday and it turned out yummalicious. My mom, brother and I all went out for lunch to celebrate. It was ok. My brother is majorly kind of crabby on his birthday, so it's never all that much fun.
Well, I hope the rest of you have a fabulous weekend. I have to finish up some homework tonight, do a few chores and then I'm going to crawl into bed. I'm really tired today for some reason.
