My dog is hiding under my bed. Under my bed, somehow she managed to fit herself in between the three boxes of books I have down there. No idea how as she's quite a large fat dog for a cockerspaniel. I think she's doing it because the neighbor across the alley is working in his garage using all kinds of power tools and nail guns and other manly stuff and I don't think she likes the noise. That's the only reason I can think of as to why she is hiding under my bed.
Yesterday, I went shopping. Bought a new pair of shorts and two tops that were on sale at Marshall Field's clearance sale, which was nice. Three things for $25. That's great. Unfortunately, somehow I've developed a rash along my neck and arms and I can't help wondering if it happened when I tried on clothing. Maybe some material irritated my skin or something? I just don't know. But it itches.
Oh, my dog just came out.
Last week of work. I'm sad cause that means no more money, but I do have three jobs I'm applying for, so keep your fiingers crossed. A question though for all you career-smart people out there.
If I get to the interview stage at any of these jobs, do I tell the person that I am going to be going back to school in January and that I might have to quit or at least go down to part-time, because I know there is no way I can work full-time and go to school. It won't happen. I'm afraid however that if I tell the employers this information, it will make them less likely to hire me. I don't want to lie, but at the same time, I want a credible chance of getting a job. I don't know what to do. Any advice?
Potluck at work tonight. Yay, I don't have to make a lunch! This is excellent news all around.
Oh, she's going back under the bed.
Not sure if anyone on my Flist is part of Paperbackswap.com, but I recently joined as a way to think out my book collection. My account is
here. I plan on adding more books ASAP, but for now, this what I have to get rid of. I think PBS is only open to those in the US unfortunately, however, if you're on my flist and you see a book you'd like, I'm more than willing to send it to you for the price of postage only. All my books are in excellent condition.
I got my haircut this morning. It looks nice but I know there is no way I'll ever be able to reproduce it the way my stylist does. Oh well I guess. At least it's shorter and not so annoyingly heavy on my head. That's a relief.
Happy Monday everyone!
