I WAS ACCEPTED INTO THE MASTERS OF LIBRARY AND INFORMATION SCIENCE PROGRAM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Yes that is right. In two or so years I will be a librarian.
I've had a long day today. I had to go to St. Mary's University, a local university by my college, for history presentations. The two colleges get together and present their papers and topics. It was actually pretty interesting though a few students got longwinded.
But anyway, so I get home and there's a message to call my mom. So I called her, knowing instinctively that it was going to be about my grad school application. And it was. SHe started reading me the letter and it basically said I'd been deferred for Fall 2006 admission and that if a spot opened up they'd let me know. I was crying at this point, very disappointed. So yeah, my mom was sad for me too and since my phone card was dying she let me go. We were both sad obviously.
BUT THEN!!! Like 10 minutes later she called me back to say that she finished reading the letter, and it said that though I might not be admitted for fall 2006, I have been accepted for winter 2007.
So... though I may not start grad school this coming fall, I'll start their winter semester!! I'm very happy with this because I'M ACCEPTED!! I don't care when I start.
So yes, that's it. I finally know for sure and I am quite happy with the answer. :)
Oh yes, and I got a 93 on my Latin American Social Revolutions paper.
