Poor sad abandoned dogs

So I went with my mom today to see

So much love for Paul Walker! He was so wonderful with those dogs. You can tell he genuinely liked dogs I think. He was just really natural with them. And, he really renewed my crush on him. After looking at his biography on IMDB, it says he owns several dogs so I guess it makes sense.

Also, tons of love for Jason Biggs. I loved his hair in the movie. All messed up and badly cut. But cute. He reminded me of Riley Poole from National Treasure.

However, the real stars were by far the dogs. This was a really sad movie in a lot of respects, but also really hopeful. And I know, it was a Disney movie so I'm sure the true story it was based on wasn't nearly this optimistic, but whatever, it was a nice movie to see. Not a great movie, but a pleasant one that brought tears to my eyes, as movies involving animals often do. It's a really good family film, so if you have kids I think they'll enjoy it. I probably wouldn't have gone to see it in the theaters but my mom wanted to see it so I went along.

Unfortunately, it must have been a no school day or something because tons of kids were there and were kind of loud and annoying in parts, but whatever, they weren't too awful.

I saw a preview for Hoot and Logan Lerman is starring in it and I kept trying to place him during the preview but finally after the movie was over, it dawned on me, it's Bobby from Jack and Bobby. I miss that show.

It is currently -3 degrees out, but it feels like -19 degrees. This is probably the coldest its been all winter. I'm really glad I left school on Wednesday and headed home because there was a pretty big snow storm and if I had stuck it out, I would have had to leave Friday. So yeah, I missed a couple of classes, but I think it was worth it.

At Target yesterday, I bought a cute new pair of shoes, and a Trac phone. It's kind of like a cell phone only lamer. I can't afford a monthly plan right now, so this way I can still have a phone in case of emergencies while driving. I don't care though cause honestly I'm not much of a phone talker. I'd rather do face to face or through email. However, I'm considering configuring it to receive messages through LJ but I'm not sure yet. I know it's possible, but I don't know if I want to use the time I buy like that.

Someone I know sent me this for Christmas. He's cute I think.

That'd be Sal the Snowman.

Cleo my dog.

Another Cleo pic.

That's Polly the Penguin as my Mom named her.

And finally... somehow on Wednesday I scratched my eye, like the actual eye, and I was having trouble seeing all night. My eye was all irritated and annoying and I had blurry vision. I put an ice pack on it and that seemed to help, and then, in the morning the eye still hurt but my vision had cleared. I haven't been wearing my contacts in the hopes that it will help heal my eye faster. So far so good. I think I'll be good to go come Sunday. So yes, that's my big eye drama.

And... I think that's it. It's been a lot of fun being home.

ETA: Why didn't I know Walk the Line was coming out on DVD on February 28th??? I can't wait! I have to buy: Rent, Pride and Prejudice, Walk the Line, Lady and the Tramp, Goblet of Fire. Yikes! That's a lot of money I don't have right now.
