I feel a certain fondness for that yellow electric mite.
Proof #1:
This afternoon there was RuroKen on Trans TV, starting from the first episode, for the 7675732th time. For a change, they give us the translation of the opening song (don't know about the ending song, I didn't stick around that long). They also give us a choice of switching between Bahasa Indonesia and English dubs. I checked out the English dub, and Kaoru sounds so by-the-book. Okay, maybe that's forgiveable, maybe the voice actress hasn't still gotten the "feel" of her character yet. That happens everywhere. At any rate, she can't be worse the Kaoru's VA in the Indonesian dubs. Then I checked out the Bahasa Indonesia dub. Whoah, this is like the third dub of this series in Indonesian TV so far. You can tell because you haven't heard this VA as Kenshin before. Do they think re-dubbing RuroKen would make the audience enjoy it more, or something?
Proof #2:
Having only watched the anime, I'm very much unfamiliar with Naruto. My blind spots are made worse by the translation. The guy with glasses and silver hair - his name is Kabuto, right? Right? I believe I heard him called that in a previous episode. So why was he called Haku this afternoon? *headdesk*
And who is Orochimaru (sp)? I got back from Kebumen and the characters were talking about him. Spoilers are welcome.
