Someone came to my door and said he had a DVD to deliver to $my_legal_first_name $my_legal_last_name. This seemed weird, but okay... He explained it was from a rabbi who wanted to share his beliefs with person with Jews and wanted person with my name to see it, and they weren't asking for any money. This seemed a bit creepy, but I said okay, and accepted the DVD. I expected it to be something about Israel or maybe something about prodding Jews to be more Jewish. I was tempted to say, "I'm not Jewish", but I didn't want to go into it with a stranger, and I was in the middle of eating dinner. So, I took it and opened this wrapped package.
Out drops a DVD and a pamphlet about the Lord Jesus Christ.
Ah, so you are a liar.
See, I don't have a problem with Christians who come by door to door and want to talk to me about Christianity, unless they do so when I am trying to sleep. I've mentioned I actually had a very pleasant experience with two Mormons many years ago. The Jehovah's Witnesses who didn't wake me up were friendly. But they were honest about their self-identification. That makes a difference.
I hate people who claim to be Jewish or claim to care about Jews, but just want them to believe that Jesus is god-incarnate. That's pretty much a fundamental difference between Jews and Christians. If you follow Jesus as the Christ that makes you a Christian or maybe one of the later split-offs the Abrahamic tree, but you're past Judaism. So, if you come to me under the guide of Judaism, you don't get to tell me you follow Jesus without being a great big unethical thing who makes Christians look bad. Apparently you're ashamed to be Christian or you are trying to convert people through sneakery. Either way, it's this incredibly stupid concept that one can have good religious outcomes through immoral behavior. And I'm not okay with it.
So, I threw the DVD out, even though I might have watched it had it been given to me in any honest way. And now I just wonder why these particular Christians are so ashamed to be Christian. It's not really a good endorsement for their beliefs, when they themselves have to hide them and sneak around their own points.
