Fun with a fellow Were!

I'll start off by saying I was woken real early because mom was going to work today. She rustled catfood container and Kitty peeled off of me after it. That was alright, I crawled back into bed. I started to doze off and felt something tickle my arm. I was half asleep and like... umm... no more cats in the bed thing with me... ummm... open eyes... low light and blurred vision... but the little creature moving across my arm needed no explanation. SPIDER!!!! I freaked and swatted madly and leapt clear from the bed. Then groggily I turned on the light and began to sort through covers. Mom had heard me yelp all startled like and came in. I found spider, got paper towel, and proceeded to catch spider and place spider outside. Spider was then outside, and I went back to sleep.

Now I shall give a nice rundown of my wonderful day hanging with einsamwulf. She's totally awesome and very nice, and I hope that we can hook up again real soon. And yes, I would love to go camping sometime!

Well, we decided that we'd try and meet up today and see how things worked out. I wanted to get some running around done anyway, so we ended up meeting at the mall. I got there and sat at Chic-Fil-A and waited and hoped I hadn't come late and missed her. I didn't! She showed up right after I did and we grabbed some chicken nuggets and got a table in the back corner and sat and ate and talked. I brought some of my art to show her, and one of the WtA books.

We then proceeded to roam around the mall in various shops. Went and saw Rhonda at Suncoast and chatted with her for a while. Bought Rasinets and Pez! Mwahahahaha! Then we doubled back to Babages and Kirkland's. Then hit B. Dalton. Sooooo many books and stuff I want! I was so amazed by a book einsamwulf has. It actually mentions Therianthropy and several other terms relating to Weres. I WANT THAT BOOK!!

So then we headed out of the mall after staring at giant pretzels and some jewelry at a mini mall booth. We headed over to an outdoor and sporting goods store for looking at camping stuff, and we went to Petsmart. Ours is SO FRIGGLING SMALL!! Uuugh. But we ran around in there like nuts. I ran into my German teacher Mrs. Wood too, wee! Then we decided since it was getting late to go back by the mall and get my truck, and I led the way to Delta Pet Center and to Hobby Lobby. We hung around and proceeded to have fun. Delta had a CUUUUUUTE baby Bearded Dragon, but the poor thing had come from a home with a BAD care history. It had calcium deficiency and had a lopsided jaw and it shook hard when I held it, suggesting some nerve damage. He is marked down half price and I am SO tempted to talk to mom about getting him. Poor little baby. Because I don't think anyone else will take him.

We then came back across town to my house and I showed her my trashed and unorganized room, huzzah! Hehe, sorry for the clutter again!! But she also got to see all my nifty collection of wolf and other wild animal figures, she saw my dreamcatchers and staffs and some of the other things I make, including my jewelry. I even fixed a necklace for her! We also had visit time with the kitties. Ash was rather well behaved for being around a stranger. Ozzy was in a PISSY assed mood. Prolly partly because I woke him up. But guess what? All he wanted was his veggies. I fed him right after you left Einsam, and he chilled down right away and became happy Ozzy again. Sorry I didn't get a chance to take the snakes out, but I posted pics here in LJ. You can see them next time!

So that's about it. The only other thing I really wanted to mention, was something relating back to this past Friday in Human Sexual Behavior class. We are into the section where we talk about gender roles and all that other good stuff. And YES!!! You were right load81!! Dr. King wore a PINK SHIRT!!! I laughed soooooooo hard the moment I had walked in and sat down and he came in and went to the front of the room. He started the class by saying that he was willing to bet that a majority of the guys in the room had been highly unsettled by the fact he was crossing his legs in a style considered more 'feminine' and that he was wearing pink. The looks on people's faces around the room and little laughs when he added "And I bet when you walked in you leaned over and whispered to your neighbor 'Dr. King's wearing a pink shirt!' just because it bothered you THAT badly."

And with that he continued class by explaining why people tended to feel that way. I love his class. He's so damned funny.

I would also like to thank lypon for showing the necklace to your mom. I'll have it sitting here in the box ready to be on its way!

That's about it. I got a ton of things left to do, and some sleep to get.

reptiles, animal people, happy times, general
