let's unwrite these pages and replace them with our own words

An update, of sorts.

This weekend has been an emotional rollercoaster. I have been so stressed out about things, but I need to just take a deep breath and let it all sink in.

I leave in less than 48 hours.

Thursday I had lunch with Sister Donald (one of my English mentors) and chatted for awhile. That night, Joe and I had ice cream at Friendly's and then went bowling. I won the first game (136!) and he won the second. We were cute. We went back to his house and hung out for a little while. I drove home, as I do most nights, with a smile on my face.

Friday I had lunch with my friend Magen from elementary school (and the first year of high school). It was really nice to catch up with her. The only reason we lost touch was because she moved to VA for the rest of high school. Keri went on her break from work while we were still at the restaurant, so she came and met up with us. Turns out they live in the same apartment complex now. Small world.

Friday night I worked, it was alright. Saturday I went to the bank, stopped by Keri's for a little bit and then came home. All week I have been in the basement helping my mom clean. It has been horrible; I have been having major allergic reactions. Before work that night, I stopped by my grandparents' house to visit and then Joe's in order to say goodbye to his parents.

Work was alright. It was a Bat Mitzvah that cost nearly $40,000 (I think). Insanity. But it was my last night. I was actually pretty sad to leave. As far as the job goes, I could take it or leave it (although it can be fun at times), but I am really going to miss the people. A bunch of the workers went to Phil's afterwards to have a drink to celebrate with me. Joe even came too after he got out of his new job. I really will miss that crew; I will have to keep in touch with most of them and visit as much as I can. Joe walked out with me after I said goodbyes and didn't laugh when he saw I was teary eyed. I love the East Wind crew.

Sunday Joe and I spent the day in Montauk. We drove out there mid-morning and stopped at Lunch (the Lobster Roll) and had, well, lunch. Then we drove around the town, checked out the Yacht Club (where he used to work) and picked up surfboard wax. We made our way down to the beach and spent about 3 hours there. We laid on the sand for awhile, but spent alot of time in the ocean. I kinda-sorta-tried to ride the board on my stomach, but the waves weren't big enough to give me a decent trip. Oh, and I fell off. Heh.

Once we left the beach (and unfortunately I noticed a nice sunburn when I got home last night), we went back to the club and snuck into the private showers by the villas. We got changed and went to Nick's for appetizers and drinks. I had a mango daquiri and we split fried calamari and crab&corn chowder. After that, we headed to Gozman's Dock where we had dinner-salad and lobster. It was sooooooo good. Fresh Montauk lobster. MMMMMMMMMMM.

We sat on the dock and watched the sun set. We spent another hour or so in Montauk after that. Then we headed home. Luckily, he knows the back roads so we didn't hit too much Sunday-night-leaving-the-Hamptons traffic.

I wrote him a letter last night to give him with a CD I made him. I'm really going to miss him.

I'm gonna go eat lunch now. And pack. And try to think happy thoughts of Ohio.
