Fall nostalgia. I'm not even sure WHAT I'm nostalgic for, but fall always brings this feeling. It's like I can still smell my childhood. Something about the cool crisp brightness--brings back all this mystery and magic. I can't wait to take Eric to the Headless Horseman Hayride--and apple picking and pumpkins and leaf fights and romping and playing in fall foliage! Ach!
Reading Wuthering Heights for my Lit class, and it's as wonderful as ever :) Quite astounding when you think of how young Emily Bronte was when she wrote it, how young she was when she died (30) and how isolated she was from the world....Also, making edits on a story I've been working on and am bringing to workshop today. Yay! First workshop for me!
New Goal: I am going to write in this journal every day, simply as a way of writing MORE and in a non-creative sense--not that there is ever a type of writing that I consider lacking creativity, but there's no real pressure with this. No sense of trying to make anything sound entertaining. Just a pure, quick venting of ideas, emotions, etc etc. So! I shall henceforth incorporate a daily journal entry into my daily writing, to focus on whatever topic I heretofore deem interesting and crucial at the time.
