The earthquake that rattled us earlier this week apparently caused cracks in the foundation of the townhouses where we live. There are several leaks in the basement. They're nothing the French drain and sump pump can't handle. The problem is that there were no leaks before. And then there's the leak inside the dining room wall.

Well, if we do have to leave the house, I have a bag packed already, as does Chris. FiL is sleeping the sleep of the oblivious, MiL is packing for herself and her new hubby who's stuck in upper NY state with his truck.

Whoop-de-fuckin'-do.

The uninhabited townhouse adjacent to ours is flooded (there's a huge hole in the roof over the kitchen and more damage in other places) and the water is filtering into our basement through the wall. According to my calculations, for that to be happening that unit''s basement must be under at least 4 to 6 inches of water. I hope the insurance company goes after the unit's owner for the damages.
