More on writing

Sometimes when I'm writing I come up with something I really like, and hope others appreciate it too. Most of the time, however, they seem to fall through the cracks.

The notable exception is the South Park reference in "What Happens in Gimmelschtump". I swear it was the hardest thing I ever wrote, because I was laughing so hard. Most people picked it up right away.

"A Perfect Match" is full of those little instances I loved to write. Someone actually picked up on a reference to "Pirates of the Caribbean" in an early chapter, but most of the stuff I really like -references or not- has gone unnoticed.

I know it's too much to expect that everyone will pick up on everything. I'm just new to publishing fiction of any kind in any media.

By the way, I got chapter 12 of "A Perfect Match" up, by using the Lecture as Exposition trope. The gruesome stuff will be (appropriately) chapter 13.
