The Dream...

Involving various members of the cast of Girl Genius. I know, I've been reading it too much..

For some reason I (literally) stumbled upon Othar and Olsaka who were camped out in a shelter made from ornamental grasses. After a slew of apologies on both sides they agreed to help me on my way to.... what? I noticed Olsaka had a lasting rosy glow not usually seen in a Gesiterdame, and semed a bit plump. Hmmm.

As we finished breaking their camp a ram barged in, tripping over itself and landing smack in the middle of where they had been sleeping. It was followed by a handful of ewes, two of whom I recognized as being from the farm I work on IRL. We managed to drive them away by heading them down some steps to a lower level of town. The ram decided to try running down the escalator and stumbled again, breaking a horn off in the process.

Going down the streets of the town - it reminded me of a golden brownstone version of Barcelona's Barri Gótic, the Medieval part of the city - we got lost and started tracing our way back. After several wrong turns we met Krosp, wearing a smart black jacket. He told us they were having fittings for the members of Gil and Agatha's wedding, so we followed him. Zeetha flitted by carrying a load of fabric and lace bolts to where Agatha (whom I never saw in this dream) was having her measurements taken.

Krosp pointed us to where Gil was still sleeping. I had the pleasure of startling him awake by calling out "GIL!"

I didn't think he could jump that high and still keep the sheet around him. I also didn't know Gil could string so many swear words together and still create a coherent sentence :p

I went off to another area while Gil and Othar discussed the relative merits of battery types and came to another set of steps down a narrow passageway. There was a nesting pair of peregrine falcons there, and while the male flew away the female decided to perch herself on me. She was huge, easily the size of an eagle and could comfortable stand with one foot on each of my shoulders, bending her head down to look at me.

She wasn't hostile so I gingerly reached up and preened her chest feathers. I think she liked it a bit too much because she relaxed a little and I felt a warm trickle on my scalp. EWWWWWWW.

(In real life it's supposed to mean you will have good luck; does it mean the same in dreams?)

I gently grabbed the falcon's neck with one hand and carefully pried her talons off my shoulders with the other hand. She was still relaxed and didn't even ruffle her feathers at me as I set her down on a stone bannister. I then went back the way I came to find a way to clean myself off...

Then I woke up.
