90 degrees and no AC!!!
So, yesterday was the hottest day of the year so far and Brian decided to try out the AC in our new apartment. He put it on at about 7:30 before he left for work, and it was working fine. As our thermostat doesn't seem to actually work, I turned the AC off when our home thermometer read about 79 degrees. A couple hours later, I put the AC back on, sit at my computer, and twenty minutes later wonder why it feels like it's getting Hotter. I check to make sure that it actually was on Cool, check the vent in the bedroom, and find hot air coming out. *sigh* I kill the AC, open the apartment windows again, and call Brian. He swears a bit (as he HATES the heat) and tells me he's gonna call the complex office to get maintenance in to check it.
Well, that was yesterday and we're still waiting for maintenance to show up. At least today is a bit cooler. Yesterday it was over 90 degrees in the apartment, today it's a bit over 80, but it would still be nice to be able to flip on the AC, at least during dinner so we don't drown in puddles of our own sweat while trying to eat!
