There’s just a few hours to the start of the UEFA Champions League Final match at the Stade de France and I’m a bit nervous but really excited. Barcelona are the favourites but as a Gooner, I have every confidence in Arsenal going for the win. How will the match turn out? I have absolutely no clue but I’m tempted to hazard a guess that the match will go on to penalties to decide the match.
My fervent hope is that Arsenal win the match in regulation time and notching their 11th consecutive clean sheet. Can the team do it when faced with such a potent strikeforce that Barcelona has? There’s always the possibility, however slim. It's a cup final match. The type of match that Arsenal has shown in recent times to be quite capable of winning as can be seen in their recent record in the English FA Cup. Yes, the UEFA Champions League Final is a higher standard but the same dynamics are in play. Arsenal will have to exploit the weaknesses of Barcelona and the Arsenal players to take full advantage of the chances that comes their way.
Arsenal will have to play with the collective will and desire as a team to win the match. The team ethos in attacking and defending is what got Arsenal into the final. It will be the same qualities that will be the deciding factor.
COME ON ARSENAL!!!
