The divine Tragedy
A new pope is going to be elected in my city. Even though I am not a Christian, the event will necessarily and unfortunately reverberate throughout my Country.
The extent to which the election process is being broadcasted is irritating in its own, but the profile of the guy most likely to win is almost frightening. Timothy Dolan, Cardinal of New York.
I had the misfortune of assisting to a couple religious functions he held in St. Patricks while touring my extremely religious mamma around like any good son would do. He displayed some of the most irritating traits I have found in the american spirit. Boisterous and empty, jokingly void, conservative and hypocrite.
