Demolition Derby, Boone County Fair 2009
That used to be the car my sister Jimae would use to drive us to school together! It was a boring, dark-green Oldsmobile back then.
This year, my nephew got a hold of it and turned it into his demolition derby car for the Boone County fair. It was amazing to see him drive this car out onto the field where they held the derby, all painted and almost unrecognizable. He kicked butt, too, until one too many crashes made the car catch fire and he had to bail out of it quickly!
I had a lot of fun taking pictures while dodging flying mud, and trying to stay low enough to keep the people behind me from yelling at me for being in the way. Good times.
