En Total Simplicidad Seria, Yo Te Amo (In Total Simplicity, I Love You)
Saga always had wanted one thing in his life….well actually he wanted a lot of things but this wasn’t something he asked for. The bassist thought to himself as he saw a small box wrapped in blue paper in front of his apartment door. With a suspicious glance, he kneeled and carefully picked up the box carefully, who knows what inside it. It could be a bomb from a crazy bomber or anything else. The small, white paper that had Saga’s name written on it crossed the thought of wrong address from his mind.
The bassist brought the suspicious box to his ear and shook it a bit. The sound of small thud from inside it made him thought about something thick and square. He shook it again and was resulted with the same thud. It was suspiciously sounded like a…
“SAGA!!”
“AAA!” Saga screamed in surprise when someone glomped him from behind. The box slipped from his grip to the hard floor. He glared at the grinning blond on his back. “Shou, don’t scare me like that!”
“Is that the way you greet your boyfriend, honey?” The vocalist said in mock-hurt.
The sexy bassist rolled his eyes. “Is this about that again? I’m sorry, okay?”
“No, it’s not okay. You ruined my chance woth Pon.” Shou folded his arms on his chest in defensive manner, tapping his feet impatiently.
Sighing, Saga mumbled an half hearted apologize again. Shou had been this way ever since Tora and Hiroto announced their relationship. Shou and Saga were in relationship once. Were. One day, both of them just realized that their feeling to each other wasn’t real and after a long and tiring discussion, they agreed to break up since they kind of had someone else in their mind. Then because of his stupidity and damn pride, Saga told Shou to keep pretending to be his boyfriend when Nao told them about how perfect their relation ship seemed.
That was the mistakes that Saga would forever regret because exactly a week after that Tora came with Hiroto to the studio holding hands. Both of the guitarists didn’t say anything but everyone caught the meaning behind their connected hands.
“Hey, what’s that? A Present?”
Shou’s voice shattered his little flash back into small pieces and he looked down at the forgotten box below him. He picked up the box and gave it to Shou who took it and scrutinized the small card. “There is no name of the sender.” The blond stated the obvious before his lips turned into a mischievous grin. “A secret admirer?” He teased, tossing back the anonymous present back to its owner.
“I know I’m sexy but that doesn’t mean anyone could just drop a present here and expect me to fall for them.” He shook his head as he opened the door to his apartment and ushered the vocalist inside before he closed and locked it back. This present made him a bit paranoid. After all, the ones who knew his place were only his band mates, his parents, his manager, and a few other friends. Where the hell this person did knew where he lived?
“Well, can’t blame a person for trying, right?” Shou shrugged and plopped down onto the couch. “Come on, open it, Sagacchi!”
The bassist dropped his things on the coffee table before sat beside the vocalist in more graceful manner. He tried to open the wrapper carefully but it was hard so in desperation, he just torn off the blue paper. His eyes widened and a frown appeared on his face when he saw the thing that supposedly to be a gift. Beside him, Shou was laughing loudly.
“A Guide to be a sexy bassist?!” The well-known sexy bassist said in disbelief. “What the-”
“Maybe he or she thinks that you’re not that sexy?” Shou suggested, still giggling at his ex boyfriend’s expression.
“NOOOO!!”

The next day, Saga came to the studio with a gloom mood while the vocalist looked annoyingly giddy. Without even greeting anyone, Saga walked through them to get to the big mirror on the corner of the studio and started to do some poses.
“O~kay, what is wrong with him?” Nao asked, pointing at his best friend who was licking his lips seductively while his gaze focused on his own image at the moment.
Shou burst into laughter again at the question. Wiping his tears, the vocalist finally calmed down and turned to face his curious band mates. “Well, yesterday-” He was cut off by a car key hitting his head.
“Oops, sorry, Shou-chan but I thought you made a certain promise with me?” Saga asked sweetly.
Grabbing the offending car key, the vocalist threw it back to its owner. “I’m sorry sweetheart, I just want to share that someone sent you a nice gift but apparently you don’t like it.” He grumbled, glaring at the bassist.
“Ooo…present? What is it? What is it?” Hiroto asked the vocalist excitedly, halting the glaring contest between the ex boyfriends.
Uh-oh. Saga sensed the danger coming when the small guitarist looked intensely and hopefully at Shou. He knew Shou would tell Hiroto anything when he stared Shou so deeply like that. Quickly, he got out from the room before every one in the room making fun of him. He was so haste in his little escape that he was unaware of a pair of dark eyes that had been following his every move ever since Saga came into the room.
“Fine, just make fun of me.” The bassist grumbled. He sat down on the bench just in front of their studio. Sighing, he just realized that he still had his bag with him. His eyes moved to the left and right, making sure that no one was around.
Slowly and secretly, he slipped his right hand into the black bag. He brought out the ‘guide to be a sexy bassist’ and flipped to page 78. Despite what he had said to Shou last night, the book was actually very interesting. The author of this book was so creative that he could write 200 pages of playing bass sexily. Now he was curious about his so called secret admirer. Saga didn’t know whether this person really attracted to him or just wanted to tease him, but they definitely caught his attention now.
“What are you reading?”
Saga jumped when he heard Tora’s voice. “Nothing!” He quickly pushed the book back into his little bag. “What are you doing here?” Saga changed the topic purposely.
The older guitarist shrugged. “What are you doing here?” he asked back.
“I don’t want to be a laughing stock inside there.” Saga scowled. “Shou is making fun of me, isn’t he?”
Tora snorted. “So that’s what you read? The guide to-”
“Don’t say it!” Automatically, he closed the older man’s mouth with his fingers. The feeling of warm lips made Saga froze in realization at what he did. Both of them fell silence and just looked into each other eyes until the bassist felt something wet on his fingers. He gasped and removed his hand. It couldn’t be what he thought, could it? He stared blankly at the other man.
The guitarist just stared back innocently at the bassist, as if he didn’t do anything. “Come on, let’s get back inside before Nao killed us.”
Saga was still staring at him, frozen. He just saw Tora with unblinking eyes as the other bend down in slow motion and put his mouth right next to his ear. “If you get sexier than now, I don’t think anyone can survive.” The dark haired one whispered before he threw a smirk at him and get back inside the practice room.
After five minutes of blankness, finally Saga regained his senses and gaped. What the hell was that?!

The next evening, Saga went back to his place and was once again greeted by the sight of a small box wrapped in blue paper. This time, there was no doubt that it was for him. Gently, he picked up the present and brought it inside his apartment.
“..okaeri…” The bassist looked to the couch to find a sleepy vocalist on his couch. He rolled his eyes. Maybe he should take back his key from Shou. The blond always popped up at his place every time.
“You really have no life, do you?” Saga teased, sitting down on another couch.
“Of course not, you took that from me.” Shou replied drowsily. “Hiropon…” He sighed and closed his eyes again, obviously he had been dreaming about a certain bouncy guitarist.
Saga was about to leave the vocalist alone when a thought came to his mind. He grabbed Shou’s shoulder and lightly shook him. “Shou, did you see someone came?” Shou didn’t answer and just batted his hands away. “Shou! I’m serious, did you see someone?” Saga shook his friend harder.
“No! Now, just let me get back to my dream.” Shou pouted and put a pink plushy over his head, silently asking the other to just go away.
With the vocalist busy hiding himself from Saga, the bassist stopped harassing him and made his way to the kitchen table. What kind of present did his secret admirer gave this time? After a shocking and unexpected gift yesterday, Saga was really curious. Just like a child on Christmas day, the bassist opened the blue wrapper with a childlike expression.
Inside the box, there was another small box. Saga opened the lid and found puzzle pieces inside it. He picked them all from the box and started sticking them together. Fortunately for him, the puzzle was easy so he got it fixed in no time. “Shake the box?” he read the words on the puzzle. Confused, Saga took the small box and shook it. Nothing happened so he tried harder. His hard work was rewarded with something fell from the bottom of the box and onto the table.
With one glance, Saga knew that it was a guitar pick. It was pure white with a black butterfly in the middle of it. Its wings were spread wide, like it was flying freely in the cloud. It was simple yet the bassist liked it a lot. Was it also coincidence that he got this present right after he lost his favorite pick three days ago? Carefully, he put the guitar pick into the box and brought it to his room.

“Mou, Shou-kun~” Hiroto pouted as the vocalist refused to give the younger man his share of coffee. “Give it to me!” He demanded when Shou just continued to laugh.
The vocalist was enjoying the adorable expression that could only be found when the guitarist was teased. “You want it?” he shook the cup in front of Hiroto’s face. The blond only need one look to the determined face to know what the other was thinking. With a swift move, Shou stood up and raised the coffee up in the air before Hiroto could snatch it. Shou only had a few seconds to gloat his swiftness before the smaller man tackled him to the couch.
On the other side of the studio, a lone bassist sighed at the sight. Those two had already forgotten the spilled coffee from the cup that had slipped from Shou’s hand the moment Hiroto decided to attack him. Looking at the wrestling duo, Saga could almost believe that they were a couple if only his memories didn’t betray him. He envied Shou though, for being able so close with his crush.
“Hey, why are you so quiet?” Tora sat down beside him and Saga sensed a de ja vu from yesterday event. Thanks God that he wasn’t reading that embarrassing book again right now. He glanced at the still laughing Hiroto and Shou as an answer.
“Ah, they are so hyper and noisy, aren’t they?” Following Saga’s gaze, Tora smirked. At the moment Shou was on top the smaller one, trying to pin him down.
“Well, they are awfully close.” Saga said with a careful tone, eyeing the guitarist respond to his words. To his surprise, there was none. Tora expression was normal, like usual, nothing out of ordinary. That made him curious. Was Tora that ignorant? If Saga still attracted to Shou, he knew he would be jealous or at least a bit disturbed by Hiroto and Shou closeness.
“Saga…” Tora shifted his attention to Saga and looked at him intently.
Under the piercing eyes, the bassist felt self-conscious. “What is it?” He tried to hide his wavered voice by flipping his long bangs back while mentally checked if there’s something wrong with his appearance. He was sure that he looked decent if not great before he left his apartment but with Tora looking at him like that, he began to doubt it.
The taller guitarist lifted his arm and reached out to Saga’s face. With a slow and lazy movement, Tora’s long fingers traced the pale cheek of the almost dying bassist and stopped just above his ear. “There’s a leaf on your hair.” Tora explained, showing the small green leaf.
“Huh? Oh, thanks I guess…” Saga stammered, having just wake up from his dream.
“Nah.” Tora stood up and waved his hand to Saga. “Later.” He nodded to the bassist and left the room with Nao. No doubt they’re going to have lunch somewhere out there.
Saga touched his cheek with his own fingers. Damn Tora, how could he make his heart beating so fast with just a simple gesture?

The third gift was coming much later than the previous one that Saga almost forgotten about his ‘secret admirer’. But even this long awaited gift couldn’t lift Saga’s spirit. He had such a shitty day.
First his guitar was scarred because Chiko had scratched and bite it since apparently Saga had forgotten to give Chiko his breakfast so the dog decided to chew at his guitar instead. Next, his car wouldn’t start so he had to walk. Then at the studio, every time he got an inspiration for a new song, someone or something always managed to distract him like Nao talking about the new Starbucks coffee, cold joke from the manager, Shou and Hiroto usual goofiness, Tora being a sexy tiger, wait he didn’t mind the last one but you got what Saga meant, right?. Not to mention the long boring meeting that the manager had ‘forgot’ to tell them beforehand.
Saga sat on the couch and opened the present, which made him even more frustrated than before. It was another puzzle! And the pieces were a lot more than the previous gift. He threw the box to the table, didn’t care that the pieces were falling around. After long minutes, the bassist finally took a look at the puzzle again.
He was not in the mood to do some complicated things but his curiosity won over him. Oh, hell, it wouldn’t hurt to do the puzzle, right? With that resolution, Saga collected the falling pieces and began to work.
Patiently, he fitted the matching pieces one by one, pieces by pieces. Strangely enough, his bad mood began to disappear and he began to relax. Maybe this gift wasn’t as useless as he first thought after all. Saga was too focused on finding the matching pieces that he didn’t really pay attention to the picture on the puzzle he made. When he was done with the last pieces, he was stunned with the result. It was a rainbow. A beautiful one at that. It was in the middle of the clear sky. ‘Beauty behind Ugliness’ was written on the left corner of the puzzle.
Something clicked on Saga’s mind after he saw the words. It couldn’t be…Grabbing his coat and wallet; he rushed to the front door. His heart was racing in anxiety and anticipation as he made his way to his destination. That words…Saga had only say it to one person. The person he always wanted for a long time.
“Tora…” He breathed out his hidden crush’s name when he saw the said person in front of his own apartment’s door, smoking. “Tora.” Saga called louder, running to him before Tora could enter his own place.
Hearing his name, Tora turned and found Saga right behind him. “Saga, what are you doing here?”
“It was you, wasn’t it?” The breathless bassist grabbed the other’s coat and pulled him closer. “The one who sent me gifts.” He added when Tora tilted his head in confusion.
“I don’t know what you are talking about.” Tora looked to the side, trying to avoid Saga’s eyes.
“Don’t lie. The last gift is the proof. I never told anyone else about that.” Tora went silent and Saga sensed the truth. He was once told the silent guitarist that he liked rainbow. It always came out after rain. The beautiful thing that came out after a dark, gloomy sky always made Saga thought that bad things would not always be that way forever, that there was always a meaning behind something bad.
“Why are you sending me those gifts? And more importantly why did you sent me that book?!” Saga demanded and shook the other man when Tora kept silent.
“The book reminded me of you.” Tora admitted finally. “It was the first thought I have when I saw you for the first time.”
Saga raised an eyebrow when he heard that. “The pick?”
“Well, you always seem to lost in your bass and guitar playing.” The taller man murmured so quietly that Saga almost couldn’t hear it.
“And the puzzle? What are you trying to say?” Saga tilted his head so he could see Tora’s expression.
“I simply just want to say that I love you, damn it.” Tora cursed as the faintest blush appear on his pale cheek. “Don’t ask me to repeat it again!” He scowled when he saw a disbelief look on the younger man’s face.
“Why didn’t you just simply tell me that?” Saga whispered, caressing the embarrassed guitarist cheek.
“I don’t know…I’m just a coward cat, I guess…” Tora rested his head on Saga’s shoulder.
That half-joking sentence made the bassist chuckled. “No, you’re not. If you are, you would never send me those gifts.” Saga wrapped his arms around Tora.
A moment passed in silence between the two until Tora moved out from Saga’s embrace. “So?”
Saga smiled. “I love you too, baka. Would I be here hugging you if I don’t?” He teased, pulling Tora even closer to him. “Where was your confidence from these past weeks?” The bassist breathed into Tora’s ear, making him shivered.
In response, Tora just leaned down and kissed Saga passionately, while discreetly pushing him into the apartment and locked the door behind them. “Wait, stop.” Saga regretfully broke the kiss. He didn’t want to but a certain thought just came into his mind. “What about Hiroto?” He asked breathlessly.
Frowning at being stopped, Tora looked down at his new boyfriend. “What about Hiroto?” He asked, confused.
Saga also frowned at the question. “He’s your lover, right?”
There was a second of silence before Tora laughed. “Where did you get that idea? We’re just friends and band mates!”
“But about a month ago, you two were holding hand…” Saga trailed off at Tora’s smirk.
“That because he was about to skip the practice that day so I had to dragged him to the studio. You know, he would be gone in a second of you didn’t het a hold of him.” Tora explained, his eyes still sparkling with amusement. “You’re just too cute sometimes.” He shook his head before leaning down to silent any protest that were about to come.
Saga closed his eyes and kissed back. Just for this time, he would forgive Tora for making fun of him.

Just outside a certain building where the new couple was, two men were walking slowly in the darkness. “You could have hinted that it was from Tora, you know.” The shorter one said.
Shou shrugged and smirked. “No way, it’s my little revenge for keeping me as his fake boyfriend.”
Hiroto laughed. “You’re evil.” He shook his head and both of them continue to walk in comfortable silence. They were just to report to Tora that Shou had successfully put the gift in front of Saga’s apartment again when they saw Saga ran into the building. Being the noisy band mates they were, they couldn’t help but eaves dropping the conversation between the two.
“Aa~ now Tora wouldn’t keep me company again.” The young guitarist pouted. “I want a lover too!”
Shou saw the golden opportunity and snaked his arm around his little guitarist’s shoulder. “So should I start sending gifts?” Shou asked, grinning to the smaller man beside him.
Hiroto was perplexed for a bit before he slowly smirked. “Maybe~” With a last sly look to Shou, Hiroto left him.
“Yosh, you just wait!”
