Nicotine

Oct 13, 2009 23:14

I feel  her music in the drags of the cigarette loosely held in my hand
That tantalizing beats
Like her eyelashes
Are mesmerizing
As this bit of nicotine
Captivating as that lightheaded high
Keeping me from rising too quickly
Easily bringing me to my knees
And each time next to her
Is more addicting
Than each bit menthol in my breath
And as the raindrops put out my cigarette
I remember how quickly
She slipped out of my fingers
Just like my last pack
Didn’t last as long
As I had hoped
b/c I let everyone bum a piece
Take a drag
And use
Her up
Till she was all gone
Damn, I need my fix
