Getting in touch with my inner hobbit

For those who don't know, I grew up in a small town in Southeast Michigan. Hamburg, MI had, when I was growing up, fewer people than I have seen at some West Kingdom events.
Being from a small town, we had 2 1/2 acres, and the best sledding hill in the neighborhood. We also had a garden. I hated that damn thing. I spent a hideously large amount of my childhood rototilling, weeding, picking rocks, picking beans...whatever.
Whodathunk I would spend a day gleefully tilling the back lawn, and the side yard, and raking out the weeds. I have tilled about 450 square feet of yard, and gotten started on raking it. Tomorrow we need to get some fertilizer and Till that in, and then we can plant grass seed and hopefully have a lawn for Noah, Peanut, and Marguerite Jr. to play on.
I had forgotten what satisfaction there was to be working the land.
I feel more at peace, and more positive than I have in months. Who knew.
