I've got gas
So with the approaching Summer comes high gas prices. $3.25 a gallon here. I'm not really bitching.
Oh, It's high, don't get me wrong. I'd like it to be below $2 a gallon, but I'm not stupid, it ain't gonna happen, and no one should expect it to.
But what I think is funny is that about this time of year, the "fight the system" e-mails come crawling out of the woodwork. "Don't buy gas on this day!" "Don't buy gas from these companies!" Both work on faulty premises. Not buying gas on any particular day won't do anything because people will simply purchase gas on the day before or after. And not buying from a certain company? You're just shifting the profit from one big oil to another.
Please, do yourselves a favor and ignore the e-mails. Don't get all worked up over the high price of gas because 1) it'll do no good, and 2) You'll get an upset tummy.
Simply shop around a little bit, try and improve your driving habits, and maybe get the car tuned up.
