Long Beach Ice Dogs vs. Victoria Salmon Kings Take 2 & The Post Game Skate
*sigh*
Here's the long over due entry on the Ice Dogs game I went to almost 2 weeks ago. I am not gonna go on too much on this entry, but I'll have 18 pix from that game plus left overs from the Kings watch party. So dial up beware.
As for the game... It sucked as usual. This year's Ice Dogs sucks. We have yet to see a win each time we go to the game. I really do miss last year's team. To add to insult to injury, Gabriel got kicked out of the game for head-butting. I'm surprised that he didn't get suspended nor fined.
Thus that game was for free as long as you kept your ticket stub from Wednesday's game, since the Ice Dogs lost that game and if they lost you get to go to one of their weekend games for free. Signs shows that this year's team really sucks.
At least the guy in the kilt kept us all entertained although at the same time he was creepy.
As for the Ice Skate, it went well. I met a handful of Ice Doggies. Some of the Salmon Kings players, especially Alexandre Vincent, were all watching the post game skate.
We also asked what type of music the players were into (as well as movies) since I plan on making mixed cds like last year. Pretty much the whole team's taste in music is so vague! The only one who gave us the most useful feedback not to mention by far he's been the sweetest player that we click with the most is Eric Neilson. He's starting to become one of my favorite Ice Dogs player. Brandon Schwartz gave us a lot of useful info. on what movies they watch while on the bus. Conclussion: most players like comedy while a handful hate horror movies. :P
In all, Nommie and I got better acquainted w/ this year's team. Hopefully we can go to more games as well as the players' banquet.
