*sigh* An entry worth writing...
Anyhow...
Last Saturday: Nommie and I went to Stick N' Stein in El Segundo to watch the Kings vs. Blues game. Since pretty much the tables were full, we had to share a table w/ Donna & Amy. We all had key chain bottle openers. We could've gotten a shirt if the players we had would've scored (I had Dustin Brown, Nommie had Lubomir Visnovsky, Donna had Anze Kopitar & Amy had Oleg Tverdovsky-none of these guys scored). As for the game, suck ass... Stupid penalties hurt the Kings, but at least Cammy scored. ;) Also, it was Yutaka Fukufuji's first NHL game, and he made history by being the first Japanese to play in the NHL.
After the watch party, we went to Toyota Sports Center where we went ice skating. I was a lil sore but it was an excellent work out, especially when we ate so much.
Later that night, us and
casia went to see Pan's Labyrinth. The movie gave me chills on some parts, but otherwise it was a fun and adventurous movie. The movie was a lil more clearer than The Curse of the Golden Flower and easy to follow. Ironically, the last 2 movies I watch is all about dysfunctional families one way or another.
In all, it was a fun filled day and night.
The Scooner Full of Guiness Beer. Nommie and I had to share it.
Last Sunday: It was mines and Nommie's 11th months Anniversary. I can't believe it's been so long since we've been together. Anyhow, we didn't do much except walk and window shop around Olvera St. & had lunch at Philippe's. Then we did some manga shopping at Little Tokyo. I got a couple of Yaoi mangas (Playboy Blues & J-Boy) and Is (pronounced eyes/ice) Volume 2 since I already have Volume 1. In all, it was great spending time w/ Nommie on our 11th months.
Monday- Thursday: Nothing too eventful except for me having class as usual, sneeking onto LJ whenever I can, Kings being a suck ass team, Cammy, Brownie, Anze, Lubo, Fro pretty much showing up in their game while everyone else pretty much are in lala land, me going on Craigslist everyday, me listening to The Horrors & admiring how cute they are, and my body pretty much hating me. I did get to watch some of the ECHL All Star Game & Skills Competition. I squeed when Kevin Baker got interviewed. I miss him so much, but I'm glad
hockeychix98 got to see him in Omaha before he got sent back to Texas. Also, I got a free 30-day pass to L.A. Fitness just for buying a Mango Mantra drink at Jamba Juice. I hope it's not a gimmick because I so need to drag my fat ass back to the gym. -.-
Yesterday: It was Chippendale's Ladies Night... I went to San Bernardino so that Nommie didn't have to drive all the way to pick me up. Since it was Chippendale's night, it was the Ice Dogs team poster giveaway, and I grabbed a few. They also had sparkling apple cider & complementary spa session which I didn't get to do which I was regretting.
As for the game, it was suck ass throughout until the 3rd period. Sadly, the complementary spa session was over by the end of the 1st period. I so wished it'd been going on the whole game. I so needed one especially when the Ice Dogs were sucking ass. I miss last year's team because at least they had better players, they played harder, and would win some games.
During intermissions...
I entered to be part of the dating game, but I didn't win. The 3 guys the winner had to choose from were Bo Cheeseman, Stuart Kerr & Brad Bonello. I so thought Brad Bonello was a fan by the way he was dressed and his answers as well. The lucky lady ended up picking Stuart Kerr. If that'd been me, I'd pick Brad Bonello.
Then, a few guys had to dance and pretend to be Chippendale dancers. It was funny.
The Alaska Aces won 6-3... I'm not too surprised.
After the game, I had the players sign my poster while they signed a game used stick Nommie got for $20
Some highlights...
Mark Tobin liked my Pittsburgh Penguins cap. He had a nice pimp daddy had and I commented on it. Mark Tobin was sexier than ever. (Sorry Megs... I couldn't resist. I know you hate him, but he has grown into me.)
There was a mob of Aces fans getting the players to sign their sign (the sign had an old pic of the coach when he had a mullet & it said something like "Bringing The Sexy Back"). They were also hitting on the Ice Breakers (puckbunny-ish cheerleaders). One of them told them off while another was signing their sign. They were all telling her to give them her phone number. It was funny.
Brad Bonello goes on about how he lost his luggage and how his computer and digital camera were stolen. Poor guy. :( He was lugging his luggage around since he just got it back after losing it. At least he was very talkable and nice despite getting into a fight towards the end of the game. He's so much tinier than expected. ^^
Chris Collins & Eric Nielson had to take a good look at the poster since they didn't get to see them. They were also commenting on their pix and how they turned out in the poster.
Brandon Schwartz was also a chatter box but nonetheless he was nice.
They players mentioned how originally they were supposed to be shirtless in the poster, but decided to just show up in their casual wear. I'd had a spazz attack had they been shirtless, and the more I'd gotten stacks of these posters. :P
Eric Nielson also liked my Pens cap and asked me who I liked from the Pens. I also mentioned about the Kings and L'Oceanic and he's amazed on how dedicated of a hockey fan I am. Much < 333 to him. ^^
The only downer was Kip Brennan which doesn't surprise me. He always has that reputation of sneeking out or pretty much walking away from the fans.
In all, it was a fun night. It was great to see the Ice Dogs despite the loss. To keep the tradition alive, I had Starbucks before going home.
Neilson in the box...
This was supposed to be Brad Bonello and another player fighting. By the time I took this pic, they had fallen down onto the ice.
Mark Tobin & Don Johnson

Mon Petit Ice Dog... Chris Collins
Gabriel Proulx < 333
I was gonna crop myself off this pic, but I didn't feel like it. Brad Bonello looking away from the camera.
Much Better! Avec another Petit Ice Dog-Brad Bonello
Mark Hurtubise & Ash Goldie
Eric Neilson-ex Kings prospect & Sid's former roomie & bodyguard (FYI-he & Sid had the same billets during their L'Oceanic days)
My Ice Dogs Poster
Well, gotta get breakfast now. I dunno what we'll do today except watch hockey games on t.v. (Pens vs. Leafs, Kings vs. Coyotes). Nope, we won't be going to Luc Robitaille night. As much as I badly wanted to go, everyone and their mommas wanted to go, I didn't get tix right away, the cheapest available seats were insanely expensive, and I'm holding a grudge at my Kings boys. So I'll just watch the game on t.v. and cry my eyes out during the ceremony.
Till then, have a wonderful weekend. Take care. :)
