First Post Of 2007: Stuff From Last Year...

Jan 03, 2007 16:25

Dear Friends List,

I wasn't planning on abandoning this LJ for an whole entire year. Until now, I've been very legarthic and too listless to even go on LJ or other things. I've been recovering for a few days after being out and around before new years. Now I finally got enough energy to be posting again. Since I've been out for a bit, there's so much catching up to do thus I'll be making 2 entries so that I don't put so much strain on your eyes and computers. I hope you all a wonderful 2007 and I hope better things will come. Anyways, take care. :)

Luv,

Moi

Anyways...

From Last Year...

12/28: My mom and I went shopping. I wasn't really planning to buy anything except for things from the gift cards I got from ad2002 and Aimee, but I got a hella lot more that what I was intending to buy. I got 3 pairs of jeans from Aeropostle for $9.99 each, a hoodie and top @ Forever 21, and my mom and I got a lot of lotions & body spray at Bath & Body Works since it was the Semi-Annual Sale (I used to say that all the time when I worked there a couple years back). I also got air refresheners for my room.

12/29: Nommie came over to my house in the morning and we watched the Team Canada vs. Team Allemagne game via RDS stream although it kept crapping out on us (RDS stream works while TSN stream doesn't work on mines). From there, we picked up Rosalyn and went to Universal City to watch The Nightmare Before Christmas in Disney 3-D. After the movies, we went to Team LA then Dodger Dogs for lunch. On our way back, we went to Build A Bear where I got another Build A Bear Friend (last one for a long long time). I named him Michael Alex-Fro Kopitar (after Mike Cammalleri, Alex Frolov & Anze Kopitar) but I call him "KopiBear". After taking Rosalyn home, we went back to my house to watch the Pens vs. Leafs game and Kings vs. Flames game before going out again. We then picked up casia and headed over to the Archlight in Hollywood. We were supposed to watch Pan's Labyrinth, but it was sold out and the ticket machines were lame. So we ended up watching The Curse of the Golden Flower (thanx adgy for pimpin' that movie out). It was a beautiful movie w/ the props, costumes and stuff, but until towards the end I was totally confused with which side is which, but all I could say it was one messy situation that tore one family apart. In all, it was an excellent movie and I'd like to see it again. After the movies, we went to Borders where casia and I got some anime. In all it was a crazy fun night.

Although KopiBear is a Canadian-Russian-Slovenian bear, he also admires Luc Bourdon & is rooting for Team Canada & Team Slovakia too.

12/30: The BABW Bears & pets and I watched Team MoFos (USA) play against Team Slovakian Sweethearts. Team MoFos won which part of me made me happy and another part of me made me sad since I wanted Team Slovakian Sweethearts to win. I cheered and booed for both teams.

Later, Nommie and I went to Riverside on our way to Palm Springs. We almost turned back since my grandma wasn't feeling well (I just want to take some precautions since 10 years ago my grandpa died 3 hours before I was supposed to go to the Winter Ball thus I ended up not going), but my mom and aunts told us to continue on w/ our trip. Anyways, we went to Mad Platter and had lunch at Dog Out (Riverside's version of Top Dog). While we were there, they were showing "In My Words w/ Mark Recchi" and "Penguins Insider". Mind you Riverside is not overly into hockey (just like the rest of Cali-it's always football and/or basketball). The only hockey teams they'd be so familiar at the most are Kings or Ducks w/ a few exceptions. I still remember on guy in my class thinking the Pens were already gone. I was so uber surprised and even ecstatic that they'd be showing Pens stuff there. I asked the guy working there if he was a Penguins fan and he said no. I ended up taking lots of pic of the show...

After our trip to the UV, we went to the Tyler where I got a comfy hoodie @ Hollisters & burritos at Miguel Jr.'s since I haven't been there for ages.

We stopped by at Nommie's house where I got to meet more of his pets (although the cats will eventually be mines once I get my own place) and spend time w/ his mom.

From there, I went to the ice rink at Palm Springs where he and his hockey buddies were gonna play 3 on 3 hockey. I was in the locker room for a bit while some of the guys were getting all dressed up. I was embarassed not to mention the locker room reeked. Other than that, I was asked to be the score keeper and throughout the game I was keeping track of the scores. Nommie's team won in a shootout. We all had pizza, chips, beer, crackers, cheese & stuff since it was an early New Years party. We were supposed to be skating afterwards, but it was getting late. In all, it was a crazy fun night despite me getting worried sick b/c of my grandma.

12/31 & New Year's Day: I did nothing but for the most part sleep. I did some cleaning as well and munching on food. Nommie and I were supposed to go to Jason's house in Riverside for his New Year's party, but Nommie had to work that night. Hopefully next time.

Well, that's all for now. Next up will be Hockey News which will be the next entry. Till then, have a wonderful 2007! Take Care! :D

P.S.

My grandma is supposed to come home today, but please do keep her in your prayers and thoughts. Thanx a bunchems! ^^
