Back From LJ Hiatus-Thank Friggin Goodness Finals Are Over!!!
Since I last had an actual entry worth posting, so much has gone on. So I'll just post the most significant dates via Cliffnotes style, but this entry will be very intensely image heavy under the cuts so dial up beware.
Anyhow...
12/2: Nommie and I went to the Kings vs. Ducks game. It was a last minute thing. We got free tix all thanx to Duck Hunter/Kings Fan Ryan if we buy his friend beer. However, his friend didn't stay very long for the game and we didn't get a chance to buy him beer. Hopefully next time... We met up w/ Erica and her family, and she told us this really cute story of Marty Murray when she went to the Kings rink tour. She told us how Marty's daughter was really excited about moving to Cali and how she gets to live in Cinderella's Castle in Disneyland. It was really cute. Went down the bench for warm ups as usual. As for the game, it sucked so badly that we left, but by the time we left the Kings scored 2 more, but lost 4-3.
After the game we went ice skating at Pershing Square. It wasn't too shabby, but after a while it got too crowded and the ice got too smushy not to mention I started to have a headache.
So we left and went near UCLA. We were hoping to go to Jay & Silent Bob's Secret Stash, but it was closed. We did some shopping there though.
Our last stop was Santa Monica where we played Skee Ball at the Pier and had dinner at Bubba Gump's. We were hoping we'd be able to go on the rides and walking down the beach, but I wasn't feelin' well. In all, it was a crazy fun night.
Sorry-I couldn't resist. As much as I HATE the Ducks and Ryan Getzlaf for doing so much evil to the Kings, I can't get enough of his sexiness... *swoons*

12/7: I had my rendering final critique. I had a lot of great feedback from the class and I am still amazed my Vespa scooter came out considering it was a bitch to work on. It was sooo worth it!
Also... Although Kings got bitch slapped by the Preds (and our good friend Granulov scored on us-grrreat!). Fooferah from the LGK board did post a really hillarious "Separated At Birth"/"Player Look Alikes" pic of Granulov.

12/8: I was supposed to go to the Kings' practice, but I wasn't feelin' well. :( However, Nommie paid me a suprise visit that made me feel 1000x better. We ended up going out to Hollywood/West L.A. in the Russian Village followed by the G Village. We went to this Russian video store and later a Russian Restaurant called Traktir. The food was yummy! :9 We also stopped by at the French Quarter Market where they not only have a restaurant but they had a G Themed store which was awesome. :) I am so going back one of these days. Our last stop was this Russian Bakery where I got some yummy pastries. I'm still craving for the Princess Cake. :9 In all, it was a fun night and spending time w/ Nommie made me feel so much better since now a days due to work and finals keeps us from seeing eachother more often.
12/9: CAMMILICIOUS!!! He got 2 goals in a 5-4 win! Whoo Hoo!!! Nice comeback!
Monday: Pens vs. Caps... The Ovechkin/Malkin interview was uber adorable. Nice comeback from the Pens as well.
Tuesday: I went to my final day for my Rendering Class. While we had to turn in work we did for the sub while Stan was on Jury Duty, we watched Boraka. It wasn't too bad, but I did cry when they showed the baby chicks being squished and going through a machine. They even burned their beaks. Poor chickies. :( What got me was when Stan said "those could be your chicken nuggets."
Wednesday: I had my Illustration final. The critique went well. I worked on the project so much that all I had was soy jerky, pita chips and chips & salsa (since Judy and Josie brought food for the class), and left over beans and stuff from Whole Foods. As soon as I got home, I crashed... Please forgive me for missing one of the most kick ass Pens game. :(
Yesterday: It was mines and Nommie's 10 months. We had dinner at Chuck E Cheese, killed time playing Skee Ball, and played other games as well and had our pix taken. Then we had drinks and dessert at Wokano. It was a fun filled night.
Yes, I was on the phone w/ Nommie.
Kings kicked ass lastnight beating the Sharks 4-2. Anze had 2 goals! Cammilicious scored as well! Whoop Whoop whoop!
Today: I may go to the Kings' practice but right now I am laggin. If I don't go today, then hopefully next week depending if the lady at the art gallery contacts me.

I was sad to see Baby Berns cut, but then again he didn't really have a great camp. *Pets* Don't fret Baby Berns! Hopefully next year you'll make the team. ^^ I am however happy that the "Shitheads" got cut. Muahahaha...
