First off, Happy Veteran's Day!
Anyways, due to me recoverying from the whole birthday/Penguins week of fun, getting caught up w/ school work/projects, and exhaustion, this entry is a week late, but I haven't forgotten to post. I still need to get caught up w/ comments. BTW... 30+ Pix Under The Cut so dial-up beware but still worth checking out.
Anyhow...
My Birthday November 4th: It was great, but not the best birthday I had... Anyways, I had lunch w/ the family at Salo Salo, a Filipino restaurant (BTW... for those of you who are new to my friends list or haven't known yet, I'm 1/2 Filipino). Between lunch and dinner, it was mostly getting caught up on LJ after the blackout, getting overwhelming birthday responses here, Myspace, Facebook, LGK.com, phone calls, ect., cleaning, later
tripleicing coming to my house and watching the Flyers vs. Caps game.
From there, we headed over to Arcadia for the birthday dinner. We were originally supposed to go to Dave & Busters, but unless we have 20 or more guests, it's first come first serve. We only had 7 guest and for that many ppl. it'd take us 2 hours before we got in. So we decided to go to Wood Ranch Grill for dinner instead and the wait was 30-45 minutes. It worked out b/c we were still waiting for more ppl. to come. As soon as we got in, we got our orders and everything. The food was excellent and the service was great. I ended up having a little sundae w/ a candle. The only sucky thing all night long was that the Kings, Penguins and Ice Dogs all lost that night. :( In all, it was a great birthday.
As for pressie... I want to thank the following ppl... for being "Ever So Sweet...":
enemyisyou for treating me to dinner and breakfast,
kaorirose for the beautiful necklace, toe ring and cell phone ring (the cell phone ring matches my pink phone),

hockeychix98 &

Also, a big thanx to
puckplayer42,

tripleicing &
mademoisellenat (BTW... Happy Belated Birthday!) for all coming to my birthday dinner.
For those of you who left me birthday wishes everywhere: thank you so much! :D If you haven't wished me happy birthday, it's not too late. Always better late than never.
Me w/ Dustin Cammy Luc
Us w/ Baby Dustin
It was also Dustin Brown's 22nd Birthday
Monday: I drove on my own to Anaheim for the Penguins vs. Ducks game. I left early to beat out traffic and got there early. So I attempted to decorate my car using my nu pastels but they didn't turn out well. Then soon after I had lunch/dinner at JT Schmidts since I didn't eat anything at all. Then Danielle met up w/ me, and after dinner we stopped by at CVS to get deodorant to decorate the car before heading over to the Honda Center (aka Pond/Puddle/whatever). The deodorant worked and showed better, but at the same time it was falling apart, making it difficult to decorate. At least they turned out well. Then Sam called and we waited for her over by the box office. Then I called
mademoisellenat to check and see if she was on her way, and she ended up being lost. So Danie had to call her dad, and we were helping her find her way to the Pond (I much prefer calling it the Pond). After being on the phone for a while, Sam and I ended up going in and barely catching the pregame skate while Danie waited for
mademoisellenat w/ her tix. I felt so bad though for going down w/o everyone, but I took some pix for her. Also, through the night, since I was more in the panic/worry/rushed mood, I had my multiple blonde moments. I ended up mispelling Mark Recchi's name on the car *face palm* and when
mademoisellenat told me to take pix of #44, I told her Chris Pronger when I meant to say Brooks Orpik. *face palm again*
1st period: I watched the game alone since Sam got her tix last minute and we sat at different sections, but I got acquainted w/ this really nice guy came all the way from Vancouver to watch the Pens play (the Pens and Canucks don't play this year-damn you stupid NHL scheduling) as well as the guy behind me who's been a Penguins fan for 34 years (he grew up as a Rangers fan but when he went to college in Pittsburgh, the Penguins grew into him). The Vancouver guy and I kept talking about hockey. 1/2 way through the first, Danie &
mademoisellenat had arrived. As for the game, the Pens had a nice 2-1 lead. Whoo Hoo!!!
1st Intermission: Although it was 2 days late, Danie wished me a "Happy Birthday" via jumbotron. It was so friggin awesome! *Hugs* Thanx a lot Danie! :D
2nd Period: It was a boring period not to mention the Ducks scored. Grrr...
2nd Intermission: I had to get coffee since I was feelin' a bit sleepy plus I needed to drive back to G-town and I couldn't sleep behind the wheel.
3rd Period: No scoring, but the Pens and Ducks got aggressive and lots of penalties.
Overtime: Noah Welch gets sent to the sin bin for the 3rd time and the Ducks score in OT. Grrrrrr... Pretty much the Pens were screwed over w/ penalties the whole night. :(
After the game, Danie,
mademoisellenat & I all waited out by the tunnel so that I can say goodbye to the Pens boys since they have to return to Pittsburgh. We saw Mark Recchi come out and he was w/ a woman the whole time. I dunno if that's his wife or not (I know he's married & I've seen pix of her but I vaguely remember what she looks like), but we all concluded that she was his "GF from the OC." He did sign for a few ppl. and he ended up signing Baby Dustin's shirt and we had our pix taken before he had to jet off. We didn't get a great view of the other Pens boys boarding the bus and soon after the bus left while Rex and his "GF from the OC" took the hotel shuttle. We also spotted Michel Therrien smoking a cigarette (I forgot to mention that he smoked before Friday's practice and over by the bus after practice) which I don't blame him at all. So we were all, he'll need alcohol, anxiety pills, Red Bull, peptol bismol, ect. ect. to keep his sanity going. Once the Pens left, we all decided to leave and everything.
Driving back was more relaxing, but I ended up taking the wrong freeway, and I found myself on my way to Riverside. It would've been no problem had I still lived there, if it was a the weekend and if Nommie didn't have to work overnights. At least I knew my way around, so I turned around and got on the right freeways. It took me a hour to get home, but I made it home in one piece.

Please forgive me for having a blonde moment and messing up Rex's name. I couldn't think right when I'm in a rush. *Facepalm*

The rest of the week was slowly getting back to normal and getting caught up w/ my assignments. I was so scared that Stan would pick on me for missing last Thursday's class, but thank goodness since last Thursday he's been in court while Joel subs the class (I have to admit-Joel is "Jarome Iginla" cute but he's married while I'm very taken).
Yesterday:
puckplayer42 and I went to one of my art instructor's, Rick Osaka, art exhibition at
Haus Gallery. Then we had lunch at Luigi Ortega's then I did some photoshoot for my final (for reference) for my rendering class. Then we went to downtown LA/Team LA to get C's Conroy's shirt. Our final stop was the mall where I we went to Build A Bear and I got "Mumbles" from Happy Feet & friends. I ended up naming "Mumbles the Penguin" Marc-Andre Colby Crosby. His nicknames are "Mumbles" and "Rex". I'll have pix posted soon. The rest of the night were spent watching the Penguins vs. Sens game and Ducks vs. Flames game. Yay Flames for winning 3-0 and giving the Ducks their 1st regulation lost!
Today: I'm starting to have a cold... Not cool! :( Colds and PMS do not mix well.
puckplayer42 and I still need to go out and around taking pix for my final, and later today/tonight we're gonna meet up w/ Aimee since she's treating me to a belated lunch/dinner since she wasn't able to go to my birthday dinner last week. We may watch the Kings vs. Wild game either at Shark's Cove, Sharkees or Steer & Stein. We'll see...
As for news in hockey land...
The Kings are really breaking my heart although the won Tuesday against the Avs. Sean Avery has been playing better and better, although he needs some brushing up to do.
I miss the Pens so much! Unless they make changes to the NHL schedule, I won't get to see them for a long long time, unless someone gives me plane tix to Pittsburgh. :P
The Ice Dogs are also breaking my heart although they won Wednesday night against the Phoenix Roadrunners. Hearing Tordj's and Yandle's names made me think of last year's Wildcats team except both of them are now on opposing teams and it's the "Older Brian Yandleface" not Keith Yandleface. Still... this year's Ice Dogs team suck! :( At least Kip (Kipper Whipper Snapper) Brennan is joining the Ice Dogs. Yay!!!
Luc Bert Bourdon gets sent back to Moncton which is no surprise to me. Although I really wished he could've stayed longer w/ the Canucks, he was much better off going back to the Q.
It Was Really Meant To Be... because he got 2 goals and 2 assists in his Q return. I so need to start watching Wildcats game again. I've been a horrible fan by missing it. Then again the time zones there is so ahead that they play it early here (around the times when I'm napping).
I so have to go now... Stupid cold is getting to me. Anyways, have a wonderful night. :)
