Since I didn't want to leave my cat out, I took a pic of her...
This past Sunday puckplayer42 and I went to the Ice Dogs' playoff game, Game 4 of the Ice Dogs vs. Condors series. We ended up sitting behind the penalty box.
1st period: The Ice Dogs took too many penalties, but at least the game was tied 1-1 (if I recall).
1st Intermission: We met up w/ Laura. Then she took us to the nose-bleed section where we met up w/ some of the players who were either a healthy scratch or on the injured reserve. We first chatted w/ Jimmy. I thought he was injured according to the ECHL site, but he told us that he wasn't injured at all. It really broke my heart because why would the team have him a healthy scratch for 30 days or so. First, they give him little ice time. Now he's a long term healthy scratch. Bastards!!!! *shakes fist*
Then I chatted w/ Luke. I asked him what types of music he's into so that I can make him a mixed cd since I felt bad for not making him one & I accidently gave Michael's cd to him at the banquet.

2nd Intermission: The Ice Dogs have a solid 3-1 lead. During intermission, the camera guy kept showing a couple of girls in the nosebleed section on the jumbtron multiple times. Ugh! Sounded like he was obsessed with them.
3rd Period: We blow a 4-1 lead, and the game is tied 4-4 all the way to the end.
Overtime: I was nervous because it was OT plus I was afraid it'd go into 6 overtimes. I gave the game until 9 to end. Thank goodness Christian scored for the Ice Dogs almost near the end of the 1st overtime, giving the Ice Dogs a 5-4 win and tying the series 2-2. It was such a sweet relief!
After the game, we went ice skating with the team, but not everyone got on the ice plus the Ice Dog boys didn't stay too long on the ice. They did however got lots of Easter goodies from the Booster Club, and were munching on candies while on the ice. To hear more on the ice skating session, please Listen to the voice post. I got Steeve, Christian & Olivier to leave a brief message. :)
After a few laps, we got off the Ice and stuck around longer to meet the boys plus Laura wanted us to stay longer. From there we started to meet more players... I finally got Cory to sign my program and I had my pic w/ him. I also commented on his sun glasses and he said thanx. I should've also commented on his necklace since it looked so nice! At least I gave him a 2nd chance and it worked out this time. :)
I also met up and chatted w/ Christian, Michael, Steeve & Derick. The boys were in the back having beer and stuff.
As soon as we were done meeting up w/ everyone, we were spent and went back home.

Cory = Hot Damn! (BTW... I forgot to mention on my Gravy Train entry that we saw a guy who looked just like him except he had more hair and less freckles)...
Michael (and no offense to him, but he needs to shave... However, since it's the playoffs, I'll let him keep his fuzz-please for the love of goodness sake don't go blond!)
