puckplayer42 and I went to the Truckstops and Stateline Tour 2 nights ago. We got there around 7:15 (ish) because I didn't leave class until 10 minutes till 6 plus we drove from Pasadena to Hollywood hitting rush hour traffic.
We didn't get in until 7:40(ish) since the line was friggin long. By then, we had missed most of Hellogoodbye's set since they were the first band to play. I was dissapointed because I wanted to see them. At least I was able to catch the HBG boys in their food costumes. Gah I < 333 those guys!
As soon as their set was over, we were getting merch and stuff. Chad and I chatted for a bit as well & gave him a hug before departing.
Since there was way too many people on the floor and I didn't feel like taking my camera out since security was checking left and right (and either warning ppl. or taking cameras away-stupid camera Nazis), we decided to watch the rest of the show upstairs.
Acceptance: I thought they were pretty good. Great stage prescence as well as music.
Panic! At The Disco: fgyywgfhfwhjfgwg HOLY SUGAR MUFFINS!!!!! These guys were so fucking awesome beyond words that it was really hard to describe in words... We were dancing our asses off that we thought the floor of the balcony would come crumbling down. Brendon + Ryan = HOT SEX!!!! Ahhhhhhh... (I couldn't stop thinking slashy thoughts in my head). Spencer looks so much skinnier in person than in the pix I've seen of him. Call me a weirdo (and yes I'm an odd person), but somehow Ryan kept reminding me of Jules Melanson of the Drummondville Voltigeurs (prolly b/c of the hair). The P!ATD boys are so much cuter in person than in pix and stuff. The cutest part of the set was when both Brendon & Ryan were playing the piano at the same time. Overall, P!ATD were so fucking amazing live!!! If they ever come to your town or nearby, definetly see them!!!! It's so worth checking them out live... I so want to see them again!
The Academy Is...: eghjbheghiuurhgrubhvbdfsh HOLY SUGARY MUFFINS!!!! This was my 4th time seeing them, and holy sugary muffins each time I see them, they keep getting better and better. They never cease to put on the most amazing shows any bands can put on... William... my oh my... that boy is HOT SEX not to mention he has the most amazing dance moves. So many slashy moments as well especially when he and Tom would share the mic. Am I dreaming? Twice they'd kiss each other and I'd *squee* each time they'd share the mic and kiss eachother. Adam on the other hand... It was so different seeing him as an adult. The last time I saw them, he was still 17 years old & jailbait. Now it's different seeing him as barely legal. At least he's beefed up a bit.
They pretty much played the whole album to Almost Here plus they played 2 new songs from their acoustic EP: "Pour Yourself A Drink" & "Fever". I was on the verge of tears during "Down and Out" because I love that song so much not to mention it means a whole lot to me.
In the end, when they played "Black Mamba", Brendon and Ryan joined the TAI boys and sang along... So cute so cute so cute!
Overall, they had a fucking mazing set! Those 4 times I've seen them, I never could get sick of seeing them because their shows are amazing beyond words.
After the show (as well as the whole time we were there), we were looking all over for
winterandreason, but we couldn't find her since there was way too many people there. We even called her name out from the balcony.
winterandreason: You'd prolly got a couple of text messages, a couple voice message and a few missed calls from me. Sorry if we missed you. Hopefully next time we'll meet up. Will you be at the Bleed The Dream, Paramore, Scary Kids Scaring Kids, & Funeral For A Friend show March 25th? If so, we'll be there. :)
We were hoping to meet up with some bands, especially P!ATD since TAI were gonna have their own meet & greet session, but we couldn't find them. Since they were gonna kick people out soon and we wanted to stick around longer, we bought TAI cds so that we can get a blue writsband for the TAI meet and greet session. I wasn't planning on meeting the TAI boys since I figured too many people would bombard them.
Anyhow, there weren't too many people for the meet & greet session since many had to go home (considering it was a school night-gah! The more I feel so old) plus I doubt anyone would want to pay $15 for TAI cd just to meet the band. It was really nice and very intimate because I got to chat w/ the guys for a while. I was amazed that William still remembered me eventhough the last time I met him was the beach bash since I didn't meet him at the last TAI show I went to. Tom also remembered me-thanked me for coming and seeing them 4 times-and I gave him a high 5. Adam and I talked about the El Rey and how he liked it better. Mike and I talked about venues as well, and he asked me how I liked the Wiltern and I told him how I have never been there. He mentioned that he didn't like the Wiltern as much. The Butcher and I talked about the beach bash as well as the poster from the beach bash. He was so glad that I still kept that poster where he drew a pic of "Princess Leah" and meant so much to him. He told me to keep it for his heart. Hence, that's why I'm using my Princess Leah icon on this entry. *points at the icon* The Butcher drew that pic (last summer) for me. ;) Lastly, he was in a towel during the meet & greet session.
Overall, this was by far the best meeting I've had w/ the TAI boys. They keep getting sweeter and sweeter. Gah, I luv them so much! *Hugs 'em all*
No pix during the autograph session since it was bombarded w/ the House of Blues Commies/Camera Nazis. However, we were able to sneek some pix during the show...
The larger pix are taken by
puckplayer42 since I didn't bother taking my camera out fearing that it'd be taken. The smaller pix are mines since they were taken from my camera phone...

The Academy Is...
That's me watching TAI's set...
Some sweet swag...
A one of a kind P!ATD bag... Each bag was very different but nonetheless cute.
All of these things has a memorable story to tell...
Yesterday: Nothing much really except for classes, homework, and hockey stuff...
Speaking of hockey...
News from Hockeyland...
Awwwww @ Sid & Alex The Pens lost 4-3 against the Sens, but the Wildcats won 4-0. :) That was 2 days ago.
Yesterday, the Kings won 3-2. Cammy made a kick ass move by getting on his knees and shooting the puck in the net. Hella amazing! Yesterday was also Luc Robitaille's first game as a 40-yr. old, and he too scored for the Kings. Way to go Kings boys! :)
Lastly Ondrei Pavlec got QMJHL's rookie of the month, but the celebration was spoiled by Grannie Radulov since he got QMJHL's Offensive Player of the month. Ewww... So Yay for Pavs and Boo for Grannie!
Well, I better get ready for the Kings' practice.
puckplayer42 and I will be going there in a bit. Till then, have a wonderful day. :D
P.S.
lost__emotions: I'll burn you a copy of the Acceptance cd. I was about to buy you one, but I was short on cash. Sorry. :( Please let me know if you still want a burnt copy or not. Anyways, thanx a lot. :)
P.S.S.
hockeychix98: I'll tell Conny that you said hello. I'll call you, text you, whatever... while I'm at practice.
lemonyice: I'll tell Glee that you said hello since I know you < 333 him... ;)
fucker_ducker: I hope you'll be at practice. If so, I'll see you there. If not, I'll tell Sean (if he decides not to sneek out) that you said hello.
