Whoo Hoo!!! Vegas Here I Come!!!
First off...
I finally got my plane tix to Vegas!!! Whoo hoo hooooooooo... I so can't hardly wait!!! August 9th-11th I'll be in Vegas w/ hockeychix98 and Shara. Hopefully we can meet up w/ Rosary as well as Marie, hockeychix98's former roomie. I haven't seen Shara since the 2002 Prospects Scrimmage Game and I haven't seen Rosary prolly since my high school graduation party or Freshman year of college when I went back home. It's been so long nonetheless...
Well tonight, my family and I went to the Hollywood Bowl to see George Gershwin's Porgy and Bess. It been years since I last went to the Hollywood Bowl. I should've reminded my parents to bring lots of food and I should've brought a bottle of chardonnay b/c the food there was hella expensive. Ah well...
I should've brought my ipod as well since my dad decided to get there early and it was so boring waiting and stuff not to mention the show started a bit late.
The concert was alright, but it was kinda boring since it wasn't a play. Rather, they just had singers sing parts of the musical while the orchestra played. The best part was Rhapsody In Blue... The piantist totes kicked ass on the piano...
Overall, I had an okay time. Luckily I had my sweater to keep me warm. Getting out of the venue was a bitch though since there were so many people, but at least we got out much faster than expected.
The whole time I was at the Hollywood Bowl, I kept thinking of Radiohead since they played there almost 2 years ago. I really wished I knew ahead of time Mike, my former Philosophy TA, had an extra $50 tix to that show. I so would've gone w/ him if he let me, and it'd given me a chance to get to know him better. Afterall, he was a cutie into good music. It's too bad I found out the day after and the first day of my class discussion. Ah well... I still miss him tons!
Well, it's getting late and I need to sleep. Tomorrow I want to go see Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. casia, I'll give you a call if I end up going. I also need to remind Nick to burn my cds so that I can pick them up on Monday. I'll also have to buy my tix to go see The Academy Is w/ Hidden In Plain View.
