:( I just finished s2 in my rewatch yesterday...

1. Pretty right away. I liked them a whole lot right away anyway, and by the time I had my Tip-and-Fall over moment with the show (first time around, History Repeating), I shipped them pretty hard.
2. Honestly, I think it was their destiny to break the curse of the doppelgangers, but that was too much for the human sides of them to handle.
3. God, they were gorgeous, the way they loved each other.
4. That they couldn't fight destiny.
5. ...I'm not there yet, but I hated their break-up. I'm going to see how it is this time around, but it made no sense to me, that they had to break up because Stefan was being judgmental of her (I didn't see that, though for obvious reasons he didn't like her lying to him) or that Elena felt like she was stifled with him, and wanted to be able to go off and eat frat boys at will. I think I could have bought other reasons more readily.
6. Oh, we're going to have to see how they tie up Nina's story. But at this point, it *should* have been Damon. Stefan belongs with Caroline, for sure.
7. If I could have reframed the show from s1, and tied up the triangle much earlier, and explored more deeply the DESTINY of Bonnie and Damon and played up the DESTINY of the doppelgangers breaking the curse with true love.
