Only Know You Love Her When You Let Her Go
[+] So. Earlier this week, Michael said he wanted to have a date night on Saturday (last night). Really, he is much better about these kinds of things than I am. I’m more like, oh, you know I love you and I know you love me, can’t we just wear sweatpants? But I’ve vowed to be better about this kind of stuff, so we went out last night and I got all gussied up (relatively...for me...you can probably guess by my use of the term ‘gussied up’ that I dress like I’m 90). We also used Uber for the first time ever. I am such an idiot. I always thought that Uber was more expensive, and that people just used it for convenience sake. I felt like I was almost stealing, it was so cheap. Anyway, we went to a place called Gaslight in the South End, which was actually really good. Like, I STUFFED my face- French onion soup, roasted scallops, TWO loaves of bread, TWO desserts. The food was great. We almost went back today for brunch, but couldn’t get it together to leave the house and put on clothes. #fatkids

CRIXUS/NAEVIA (SPARTACUS)
I don’t think I’ve seen anything in a while on something just set in Blood and Sand (and I really liked this song). But yeah, I love these two, these two are pretty set in my Forever Couples. (And I can’t wait for Amanda Waller and Slade Wilson to cross paths.)
ANGELA/JORDAN (MY SO-CALLED LIFE)
That video up there pretty much lays out their whole story, but if you’ve never seen it, I’d say go straight to Netflix and just watch the entire show. Angela/Jordan are a huge component, but if you were ever a 15-year-old girl, this show is going to hurt in a wonderful, beautiful way.
BILL/SOOKIE (TRUE BLOOD)
Bill and Sookie were like the best of times and worst of times for me. Best, because the show was so committed to them (and I am 100% happy with their story...100%, with the way it ended). But the whole fandom hated them. So there was that. Seriously, I had to look for like two hours to find that video.
Honorable Mention: Alcide/Sookie
HYDE/JACKIE (THAT 70’S SHOW)
Does anyone dispute this? No. Okay.
DUNCAN/VERONICA (VERONICA MARS)
VERONICA/WEEVIL (VERONICA MARS)
If you’ve been here a while, you know I’ve never been able to choose between these two. Talk about the best of times and the worst of times. It should be a good thing that you OTP two couples so hard, because you’ll be happy either way it shakes out but one is barely mentioned by fandom and the other is out-and-out hated. (If you’re new and curious about my strange VM pairings and the lack of the most popular one mentioned here, feel free to ask but you are going to get an *earful*.)

Ah, an oldie-but-goodie. I don’t think I’ve talked about these two in a while. But they were the thing that pulled me into everything BtVS/AtS, I got sucked in over these two when the show aired reruns in the morning on TNT. I bought the whole series in one whack, and these two are it for me.
And then some more Honorable Mentions...
Because I can’t do a post like this without talking about these two shows, and while I shipped tons of things on both of these, rabidly, there’s not really any This One Couple Ate The Show For Me ships. So…
