This Love Is Glowing In The Dark

Good morning! I have NO idea why I'm in such a great mood, I have a terrible cold and I am out of money after paying off my bills for the month, but I'm going to go with it!!!

badboy_fangirl was talking about The Vampire Diaries in her journal (as she does), and it got me thinking about the subject of EndgameWe all have our favorites, our wishes, and what we're ( Read more... )

See, when IS was on Lost...I saw exactly *none* of Damon's magnetism, or flirtatious humor or anything he's got going on now. What I saw was exactly *annoying little brother who's really weird about his sister*. (Of course, she was really weird about him in the end, too.) Aaaaaand....I watched the show until Shannon died. And then I joined back in...I want to say mid-season 4? And watched it until the end. I...literally could not stand Evangeline Lilly (as an actress, not as a person). All I saw was smug. And that, for me, is the death toll for any supposed 'heroine'. I saw no chemistry with *anyone*. In fact, while I saw Josh Holloway have chemistry with everyone and everything (glasses, paperback novels, etc.), I just saw him sucked dry in his scenes with her.

I get the feeling I should stop there...

I have a whole meta on Stefan!Elena versus Damon!Elena. I should get it out and polish it up tonight. You might find it interesting.

I think I really would, no sarcasm! And if you're ever massively bored, I invite you to check out the beginning pages of my tvd tag. It will probably make you laugh, but you will see, I was all over Bonnie/Damon from the very start.

Oh, I agree, Damon would have snapped Boone's whiny neck in five seconds flat. Men don't even get hot until they hit 30 IMHO, but still. Boone and Shannon were all kinds of dysfunctional wrong.

I'm not a huge Kate fan, or anything, I just think they have amazing chemistry. Juliet was always my favorite female character and I eventually got onboard with Sawyer and her. I think the ONLY female that Jack ever had chemistry with is Juliet as well.

I probably would feel different if it were on the air now (and I'd probably watch it a whole lot differently), but all I wanted in those days was Sayid and Shannon forever and ever and ever.

I'm trying to remember- I don't think I really had strong Jack feelings until the finale. I watched that show like a child- literally all I cared about in the end was ships (Sayid/Shannon, Jin/Sun...I think that might have been it, for the biggies). I just hated every scene Kate was in, ever, and I never for the life of me understood why Jack and Sawyer would fight over her.

I could have at one time published novels on my hate for Jack. I didn't start to soften towards him until S5, and then it would quickly resurge depending on what stupid thing he was doing, so it's only been on rewatches that I've come close to appreciating anything about him.

But yeah, for me, even though I had definitely ships on the show, it wasn't about the ships. I love the show, in its entirety, even with its flaws. One of my most favorites ever ever ever.

Did I ever link you to my almost-Damon/Bonnie fic? It's still ultimately Damon/Elena, but it's good with the Damon/Bonnie stuff, I promise. It's set during S3.

Also, THIS is my favorite Damon/Bonnie fic that I've been following for like three years. it's set during S2.

Lay that fic on me! I would love your take on them.

Someone challenged me to write a Bonnie/Damon/Elena triangle, and since it was during the time before Damon and Elena had officially gotten together, the plot bunny grew really naturally. Plus, it was a fun story. And Bonnie, I just love her, and had really wanted to explore her some after the end of S2.

So, here it is: Before the Sun Goes Dark.
