FNL FTW (as usual)

It seems everyone did their FNL posts last night. Well, color me late.

Okay, confession time. I *love* when there's no game in the episode. I'm too spoiled, I'm too attached to the characters, and I need my character development time, dammit. Okay, on with the show.

I really can see both sides of the Streets vs. Coach 'war'. Coach really didn't do anything wrong, and I'm convinced that he won't have to pay anything, but I really can see why the Streets did it. In some ways, it's heartening to know that one of the biggest football families will turn on the golden cow of Dillon in order to do anything to save their child. Sometimes we forget because Scott Porter looks about twenty-eight that Jason is only seventeen and *does* have to go along with all his parents say.

Props to my three girls this week. Props to Julie and Lyla for standing by their men when they need them (and in this case, they *really* need them), and props to Tyra for standing up for herself and her mom. She is really awesome, and I really hope that Timmy can see all that she is, and he wasn't jerking her around last night. And Julie, oh my little Julie, I'm almost proud that she can see how good she really has it when she told Coach and Mrs. Coach how much she loved them and how lucky she was that they were her parents. Such a far cry from her snotting, "And I want my own car." And of course, Tami Taylor continues to be the best TV Mama ever (and the Hottest and the Coolest).

'Lil bit of Matt Julie squeeage. That tiny kiss over their shoulders when they were sitting on his steps and OMG, when he tackled her to the ground.

Now, I've been saying that Smash needs a girl, and looks like we got one and I *heart* her! She is so cute and funny and even quick enough to name her own ship! The 'Waverlash' rides again indeed! I think this is great for 'The Smash' to be challenged by a girl this way, can't wait to see how they play out.

One other little thing about Buddy praying in the church for the win...It was really kind of pathetic and it just made me feel bad for him. And makes me feel *really* bad for Lyla's little brother when he gets of football age. IIRC, the kid was kind of chubby and didn't look like much of an athlete- sort of like Buddy himself.
