Just Know That These Things Will Never Change For Us At All
What a week it's been. And for all the Boston Paddy's Day hoopla, me and my Irishman spent the day flaked out on the couch, getting drunk off the contents of our fridge and nibbling away at leftovers (I did a turkey dinner for him last night).
[+] Look, I'm still enjoying this show and I don't think I'll ever get sick of looking at Aimee Teegarden's face but there are definitely some problems. And those problems are the way the teenagers talk. It feels very 80's after-school special, which is a surprise on this network. Hopefully they'll even out.
I'm actually pretty into Emery/Grayson. They look good together, they have chemistry and I'm actually finding that dynamic much more interesting, especially for Emery at this point.
And I do love the way Roman loves Emery, but he really has much bigger fish to fry at this moment in time, and also, it really reminds me of the way Mary loves Francis on Reign. Like, she was this one image of kindness from childhood that he held on to so when he sees her and she's this gorgeous sixteen-year-old girl, like, *of course* he's going to be crazy for her in an instant.
[+] I'm calling bonkers on the female lead leaving production three quarters of the way through the first season, especially since they are a-go for season 2. And more than ever, I'm calling shenanigans on Klaus as the male lead of the show (or one of them anyway). He's so monstrously abusive and deluded about himself, just a really pathetic, disgusting character who can be pitied at best.
I'm going to have to come back on Reign. But I'll say this, that Dirty Laundry was a fucking delightful episode and a half.

ALEX KAREV & IZZIE STEVENS (GREY'S ANATOMY)
And it keeps going and going, because we are all hanging on until the end of time to see if Katie Heigl will be asked/welcomed back for any sort of wrap-up storyline. The cruel thing about Alex and Izzie is that it was truly not up until Invasion (6.05, the one where Izzie gets kicked out of the program) that there was indication that she would leave. It was a 180 to get KH out of her contract and it made no sense. And through all of the huge events at Seattle Grace Mercy West Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital that Izzie definitely *would* have shown up and shown support for (the shootings, Zola, the plane crash, etc.)...she didn't and we never heard or saw any mention of her again. It didn't make sense and KH was flying high off her one good movie and hopes for a promising career in film, but after her umpteen flops and she was hinting around being asked back...we all keep hanging on. And now with Isaiah Washington returning...Yeah.
