Where You Think You're Going Baby

So much tv to catch up on, I really don't know where to start.

First and foremost, my boyfriend has been watching all of this season's Spartacus so he is caught up in time for the finale on Friday, and I'm really not ready to process it all (I feel like this season has been happening for a long time, even though I really loved it, as opposed to ( Read more... )

Ugh. I was cringing on your behalf at everything that went down with Brenda and Jax. I was kind of holding out hope for a reunion even after they broke off the engagement but after what's rumored to go down today I'm thinking no. It seems silly to bring them back engaged just to cock it all up BUT SOAPS DO NOT ALWAYS DO THE SENSIBLE THING. I am sorry and am sending you sympathetic wronged soap shipper hugs.

That said, I've actually been relatively pleased with the Nurses Ball? I would have liked more focus on Robin, obviously. Poor bebeh, it's bad enough her funeral was all about other people but now the Nurses Ball meant to honor her is too. But I think my qualification for being pleased with just about anything on this show are "Anna is on and being awesome" and I think she had some of the best stuff throughout the ball. I don't even really ship her and Duke but their scenes were precious and I'm gonna roll with it as long as they stay adorable and her brief scene with Patrick acknowledging that they were both moving on was lovely and I adored every freaking minute she had with Emma especially "Oooh, Grandma. Is he your boyfriend now?" (Also, please don't tell anyone because I know it's so very wrong but there is a tiny little place in my brain where I started to ship Anna/Patrick AND I CAN'T STOP.)

You're right. The Mac/Felicia/Frisco stuff was just weird. They all seemed to be acting super immature and out of character and, while I was glad Felicia chose Mac, by the end I was pretty irritated with all three of them. And, damnit, I knew Frisco would break Maxie's heart but it was still so hard to watch.

Oh god...what happened yesterday? Should I watch? I kind of refuse to believe it can get any worse than the way it was left, but every time I think that, TPTB is all challenge accepted! :/

I have potential fix-it fic. I don't know. I haven't written in, like, over five months. :|

Mmmm...I'm glad you enjoyed the ball, but if you had been watching when it was in its heyday, you might feel differently. And watching the full show for the first time in forever...bejeebus, do they push the Pretty Pretty Princess Syndrome with Sabrina. I said it all up there, I won't rehash it.

Ohhhhhhh God...I just watched yesterday's scenes.

I literally have no words.

There was a time when Brenda Barrett would have been my favorite female character ever, hands down, no question. Now...I'm just going to have to cut off all canon some time in 2006-ish. Georgie is still alive. Jax is still ambiguously going off to Rome, and never explaining his whereabouts (Ingo has had a long standing contract deal where he gets to take a huge vacation at some point in the year, and it's been explained away in a variety of ways) and never fully let Carly sink her horrible hooks into him. Patrick never turned into a dick, to the point where I stopped caring about him completely. Elizabeth and Lucky took their rightful place as the new generation touchstone couple for the show.

And then I can do what I like with my own head canon for Kristina, Ethan and Johnny.

I don't know if I've ever sent this to you, but here. You see? Brenda CHOSE Jax when she was in her right mind, when she was at the best, healthiest place she ever was, when she loved herself the most, without thinking about it, with all her heart, she chose Jax.

Awwwwwww. They really are sweet together! Even before I saw this, it was pretty obvious that Jax was the much healthier and saner option.

I've seen a lot of speculation that maybe Brenda and Michael didn't really sleep together and since Micheal doesn't remember anything Brenda just went with it to piss Carly off. I'm leaning toward that being true because they've been sure to mention a couple of times that Michael doesn't remember it. If that's the case, at least it doesn't make a Brenda/Jax reunion sometime soon seem so very impossible.

That seriously is, like, the character-ruiner if she did sleep with Michael. Sonny's SON? She was around when he was born, wtf?
