This might be my favorite chapter yet! All the girl cousins hanging out?!? Oh, I do adore that. Oh Mirela. Sigh. She feels so much. Elizabeth is such a good cousin getting that letter sent.

Man, I couldn't help but think, going to Valentine late at night? Elizabeth, what are you thinking?!? He is totally infatuated with her, isn't he. I have no clue how I feel about that. I know you said he's younger in your universe than he is in the books...how old is he again?

Sigh, I need Emmaline to be happy. Russell better not be a pig right now. Hmph.

I hadn't quite zeroed in on his age. I'm going to go with...he's probably around 35 (in the book, he's only a few years younger than Harry, who would be in his early fifties at this point). He's definitely 'too old' for her, but that's not really the issue. You'll see.

You'll also get a Russell point-of-view soon. What do you mean by pig? I will tell you, as it's dangling now, they are not resolved. I told you, they proved very difficult for me to write, and I was very tempted, many times last year to just write and then they kissed and made up just so I could get on with them, but I can't do that.

I loved the Hungover WF scene. Really loved it. <3

Russell is behaving badly around town. I just don't want him to be a player at this point, ya know? Her cousins wouldn't lie to her, right?

Okay. I am just nervous about Valentine in general. I like him as a character and you are kind of sounding ominous about him. Lol.

Oh, Russell isn't a player. He's got no game! (Not all of these boys do, which was something I had fun doing, sort of creating all of their different personalities. Like, I know in romance novels, EVERY man is a total casanova, but Russell Bowman? No. Like, picture a guy who'd had the same girlfriend since he was 13? He's just a drunk, basically. You'll see, soon.)

Valentine is...like I said, he was kind of one of the biggest surprises to me, as I was just forcing myself to write, write, write every day. He was one of my favorite side characters in the original book series, and I always kind of wanted him to have his own novel, but I just kept going down this path with him. You'll see. He's not a monster, but he's...a little edgy.

Like Annabelle, I want to know what in the world is he up to as well and how the dinner party will turn out!
