Ah, let me TRY to catch up on tv for this week. I still haven't seen Nashville, and I think I'm two behind on Last Resort. (Have you all seen
this promo? Effective. Very effective.)
Okay, I'm going to attempt to try to talk about something other than Kelly and Val. Sorry, but you all know how I get at this time of year, and a DWTS couple hasn't hit me like this since Brandy and Maks (and Vally is hitting me way harder, I'm thinking).
Okay, I'm done.

I spent a good portion of the last couple of days catching up on Once Upon A Time. And when I say 'catching up', I mean I had to go back to March and watch like eight episodes from last season. I had heard that Captain Hook had entered the scene, and well, you know I can't resist...
I think that this season is set up in a pretty interesting way, with Snow and Emma in 'Neverland', and Charming trying to hold down the fort in Storybrooke. I think that Charming is an idiot. He's better than David. But I think that I thought David was such an idiot, that it seeps over into the way I see Charming (but Josh Dallas looks good in a wife-beater). But I think it's a nice thing for Henry to have a man in his life now, and it's cool that it's his grandfather-who-is-young-enough-to-be-his-dad.
But totally shipping Snow with Lancelot, and I hope that he isn't really *dead* dead.
And I also think Ginnifer Goodwin is doing an excellent job as playing 'mother' to a woman who is a year younger than her.
I'm also kind of into Belle/Rumpelstiltskin, in a way that I didn't think I would be? It's much more about Robert Carlyle, since Emilie de Ravin feels like she's going through the motions.
And I somehow thought that it had come out that Jefferson was Baelfire? Or maybe that was someone's fic/meta/speculation I read?
Regina, and Lana Parilla are by far my favorite. I don't know if there's a way to bring someone into her life without unvillifying (?) her, but she is too pretty to not be making out with someone. (And not Sydney.)

My Gossip Girl thoughts aren't going to win me any friends. I'm totally back on board with Blair/Chuck and here's why.
The scene that sort of began to sour me on Blair/Dan was probably one of the scenes that the fans loved the most. I'm talking about the Met steps scene, which I've talked about hating before, but I don't know if I've ever said why.
That scene very much felt like Dan was making fun of her. In that ridiculous Disney princess costume gown, with the Target bought, plastic tiara...it was patronizing, and even what he was trying to be sweet about, he didn't get it right.
But Chuck and the fashion show...he knows why it's important to her, so he does it perfectly. And it's not even about the question of taste, it's just...he gets it, and he does it. (Now. Finally. And I'm fully admitting that he has fucked up MAJORLY in the past, and done terrible things, but he has grown.)
Other things that are going on- um, I don't hate Nate and Sage, even though I think it's kind of weird. And I'm really looking forward to the really icky incest pentagon of next week (with Lily-Steven-Serena-Nate-Sage). Steven seems about on par with the rest of the parents on this show.
Rufus and Ivy are the worst, and gross.

New Girl...is still delightful, but I feel like I need a bit more. I know that Elizabeth Merriweather has said that she doesn't want Nick and Jess to get together for a while, and neither do I, but I'm like, crack-fiending for a little bit more. Just a smidgen. Pweese?

The Vampire Diaries is equally frustrating me and and also making me excited. I'm *bad* with this show, and I feel like I am always forgetting specific canon and mythology, but let me try to make sense here...
The thing that is making me absolutely incoherent this season is Elena feeding from Matt. There's so many things about it, but mainly, I just think it's insanely hot. I better be careful or I'm going to start shipping them like my life depended on it, and Matt is so never going to have that kind of storyline, especially with Elena.
It's quite obvious that neither Salvatore brother is going to be any good at being a vampire mentor to Elena. Stefan, because for some reason she is just too afraid to disappoint him (and I really don't feel like that would be the case), and Damon because his first thought (looks like) in the next episode is to take her on a frat boy bender. Caroline is the natural choice, and I feel like it's just triangle fodder to keep ignoring that.
Speaking of which...I have no problem with Caroline and Tyler having Werewolf Hailee problems. I would hope that this might push her back to Matt, but I have a feeling it's to push her over to Klaus. Which I do have problems with.

I'm enjoying Grey's this year, I'm enjoying the show it's growing into, and these characters as they're growing up.
I mean, does it do anyone any good to pretend that I'm just not one big ball of April/Jackson feelings for the whole forty-four minutes? No? Thought not. I would like to go a little bit further than Can't Resist Each Other, but I'll take it for now.
I love when Debbie Allen guest stars. She has superb family chemistry with Jesse Williams. I kind of want her on more, but...I do have a problem with Richard still being married. I don't want Adele to die either (and I don't think that that would just immediately push him into getting his groove back either).
I hope that Alex and Mac-from-Veronica Mars is still a thing. We shall see.
I would like to know where Alex, Jackson and April are living now, or if April is still living with the boys. And what is going on with Meredith's house- I'm wondering if she'll rent it to the interns (I would love that, I don't want to give that place up).
Of any character or actor, Sandra Oh does fine in her own storyline at Mayo...but...I feel like we can't follow Cristina there forever? She's got to come back to Seattle Grace, and I'm wondering how that will work. Either with Mr. Feeney dying (how sad, but probably the case) or being fired.
Zola has retired from Miss Cutest Baby In The Whole Wide World 2012, and is now hot on her campaign trail for Miss Cutest Toddler 2013.

I'm spent?
Thank you, Tristan. :)
