To Stand In Your Arms Without Falling To Your Feet

Oh my gosh. het-bigbang's are due today. Whoops.

This has been I think the most MIA summer I've ever had on LJ. I really, really hope that changes in the fall, because I feel like there's a fandom-shaped hole in my heart, and while my summer has been filled up with other things, I really miss it. Unfortunately, I'm not all that excited for anything this ( Read more... )

I MISS YOU!!! I still think you'd like Revenge. And possibly Scandal. It's Shonda-rific.

What is your worst writing habit?

Back at you, babe!

My worst writing habit is leaving things hanging in limbo, like, forever. Especially because the end of fics is almost always the first thing that comes to me, so I always know *where* it's going, I just don't necessarily know how to get there.

What makes you want to write fic for a new fandom?

Lately nothing, ha! But seriously, it's probably some random tip of unexplored backstory. Like if a character is twitch about something, it makes me wonder about his/her fears on that matter, where that started. For my heroinebigbang, it was Naevia's comment that she had been born in the ludus, and it made me wonder what a life would be like for a child slave (not very cheerful, I know).

Hello darling! <3

What do you find the most difficult to write? Do you ever pull from real life experiences and stick them into a story?

I don't know if there's any one subject I find the most difficult to write? But I find it hard to get back into the swing of things if I've been blocked for a while. And yes, I stick real life experiences into a story, quite often. For one thing, Kristina. Now, I've written her a few times as a really good cook, even though she said on the show that she could barely handle toast.

Do you map out or outline stories before writing them or do you just get an idea and then write and let plot points come organically?

(And non-writing related: I'd be interested to know your feelings on Taylor's new single, her new Kennedy boy, and the prevalent attitude amongst the media that she unfairly always paints herself as a victim when maybe she's not so innocent?)

I wish I could be organized to make a *real* outline, but I usually get bored when I try to get something on paper and never end up writing the story. I usually always have an ending, which is probably weird, and random scenes I want to stick in, which I then write myself into a corner trying to get to.

I have to say, I HATE We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together. It's way too poppy for me, it sounds like Cher Lloyd. This probably makes me sound really naive, but I really don't believe that she is dating Conor Kennedy? I don't know. It doesn't make sense to me. He's 18, she's almost 23. I don't think she always paints herself as a victim, and neither do I think she's all that innocent. I think she feels things VERY deeply, and when she is hurt, she believes she is justified in lashing out with all she's got. I don't know if you know this, but I'm quite a bit older than Taylor (just turned 30), and sometimes I look at the things she does, and I remember being that age, and I kind of cringe. I don't think she's a saint or a ( ... )

So I read your Ethan/Johnny/Kristina little bang the other night when I was perusing LJ! I really liked it. It was late when I started it and thankfully I didn't have to work in the morning because I kept reading it until I was done. I got so easily lost in your world of Johnny/Kristina/Ethan, and at the end you had me rooting so hard for Ethan and Kristina and wanting MORE of the story.

I've always been hesitant to read Johnny with anyone else (as you know my love for JoLu) but you did very well with his character and I trusted you with it. They have such an interesting dynamic...the three of them.

Wonderful to read stuff from you again, my dear! :)

Wait, my little bang from this year (which I haven't posted on LJ yet) or my big bang from last year, which is still unfinished? Yeah, thanks for giving it a read either way, honey, those three just twist my heart into *pieces*.
