A Thrilling Experience In Movies

Another round of question, as I'm keeping one eye on the Oscars. (Some real-time commentary: stfu, Milla Jovovich.) If you would like to play, let me know and I'll leave you 7 topics to ramble about.

This round from irishmizzy:

Well, this is assuming that next season is the last one. I don't want it to be, I could give it another few years, but I heard that this year was the last year, so I think I can only design what I would want 'in the end', not necessarily 'in between'.

Okay, so I'll start with the easiest. I appreciate a good flash-forward in a final season, and for Nate, I'd like to see that he's…PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES. Yes, seriously. He's honest (doesn't know how to lie) and always does the right thing- we could do a hell of a lot worse.

I wish I had a 'ship wish' for him, but I don't. The only people I ever strongly shipped him with were Jenny, and that ship has sailed and it was probably never going to work out in the long term anyway, and Blair and…well. I'll get to her, but she already has enough cocks in her henhouse.

Serena. I really want Serena to find her path in life- I have no idea what that would be, she's kind of flip-flopped so many times. I would love to see her with Carter Baizen at least once more, for an extended arc. He's the only guy who's really rocked her, and I'd love to see Blake play at that level of emotion again. I'm not saying they should be *forever*…but I kind of feel like Carter could be Serena's Will.

Okay, the big messy BLAIR situation (that obviously wraps up and into Chuck and Dan as well). Assuming that Blair and Dan enter into a 'real' relationship by this season's end…I would obviously love to see it play out. I don't think it's going to be a simple thing to absolve her marriage to Louis (although it *should have been*), and in typical GG fashion, I expect that it's going to culminate in some life-threatening something-or-other, probably on a Manhattan rooftop in this year's season finale, and most likely with the way the writing has been going this year, Chuck and Dan are going to team up to help 'save her'. (Yeah, let's call a spade a spade, it's probably going to happen like that.)

Anyway, we were talking about *next* season, yeah? So, Blair and Dan are going to be in a 'real' relationship, but…(I know you're not going to like this) I do feel like Chuck is still going to be a big part of her life. They don't really know how to stay away from each other, and also on the 'business' side of things…Chair fans are loud and Josh Safran won't ignore them. I would LOVE to see Jack Bass back (I need to see him *this* season) and even though I love him, I would love for Blair to take him down for good, so that *she* is rescuing Chuck. She's always been the best thing about him.

I do think that, before the end of the series, there will be another round of Blair/Chuck, though how long it will last, I don't know.

And while I think that Dan is going to be an extremely important, deeply loving relationship for her, I'm not sure if it should be a forever relationship either. I would love for this triangle to end ambiguously, where you don't know if Blair has made a choice, or if she is alone (but happy). I see this very clear shot of Blair in that Almighty Flash-Forward, sitting on the coast of somewhere beautiful, in one of her fabulous wool coats, and reading Dan's latest book (which is titled something obviously to do with her) with a tiny smile on her face.

That got lengthy.

Gosh, this is such an embarrassing question. A Game Of Thrones, but it's like…the *only* new book I read last year.

*

This is a *tough* question, because I saw so many shows axed before their time…I do wish Veronica Mars had a chance to properly wrap up, but I'm kind of scared of what it would have been. And then there's My So-Called Life and I have all the faith in the world in Winnie Holzman, but that first season was just so perfect. And really, I think that show needed *two* more seasons, finished off with Angela finishing high school and realizing that she survived.

So, I'm going to go with Kitchen Confidential.

I mean this show needed A season, look at that line-up. FOX is kicking itself now, I'm sure. But I'd like to think that this is the kind of thing that you just can't fuck up. The boys stay pretty, they keep cooking and getting into shenanigans. We all could have used a little more of that.

This is kind of a random answer, but it's based on who I think would like my food, because those are the only people I'll allow in my house.

(Marshall Eriksen- How I Met Your Mother, Mark Sloan- Grey's Anatomy, Veronica Mars- Veronica Mars, Jason Stackhouse- True Blood and Serena Van Der Woodsen- Gossip Girl)

Well, it's about the way soaps Should Be, but it's the never-ending story, and you have this wide cast of 30+ characters that you can have interact in any way you wish. Most soap operas are just set in a town, so it's not all legal/medical/cop/gangster drama or high school set. You can really get invested with everyone, on a very personal level, and it's the best kind of storytelling that exists, in my opinion.

Oh, this is tricky. The history buff in me is like, yay!, but then I think…ooh…do I have to wear a corset? Something less than a corset? Am I going to be seeing some really awful shit? Are people going to be bathing? AH THE AGONY OF MY OWN TIME MACHINE.

Okay, so if I could guarantee everything would be awesome and no one would notice me…I'd say 1877 in New York (because the current story I'm writing is set then and there).

It's a really hard dating city. I hate to be like that, but it is. We were at two places last night, and I turned to my friend and said, "Look around the room." It was like 9-1 woman to man. It's really hard to meet people.

Also? It's tiny. It's like a micro-city. This can be a nice thing, in that it's a very walkable city, but it's a *small town*. You don't want to run into someone? Too bad, you definitely will.

Hmmmm…I don't know what Billy Crystal was trying to accomplish, if they're like, trying to bring back an element of class and tradition or something, but it's really kind of stuffy and like…office party kind of humor?
