Mondays are INSANE. I wish someone would come over and do my laundry. No, I don't, I'm way too particular about laundry. I wish someone would *put away* my laundry.
I so need to catch up on DWTS since I missed it. Love your comments.
Although, I will say, since having watched the show since Day 1, I go around telling everyone that John O'Hurly should have been season 1 champion. LOL. I really do, because I really feel he danced his ass off and Kelly had the soap fandom boost her ratings. (Although she and Alec had awesome chemistry, I will say that.)
That's exactly what happened, but she did win nonetheless, and this show has been *built* off popular players staying longer than talented dancers. It just is what it is, and I thought he was such a whiney baby about it, to have that 'dance-off' months later.
And GG was great. But I'm the only one who *really* enjoys it the way I do (I haven't found anyone else who has, anyway).
I don't really get your whole Chuck is teaching Dan to love Blair thing, though. Because honestly, Dan seemed to being a pretty good job of that before Chuck ever knew how Dan felt about her. And the whole point of her NOT being with Chuck is to not be with someone who treats her like Chuck, so why he has anything to teach Dan, I don't know.
I suppose he's teaching Louis by non-example (do the exact opposite of what I did) and sort of the same for Dan, but I feel like last night and last week Chuck has said something to Dan about having conviction, making a choice, and standing behind it (part of why he's taken ownership of the book). It was more overt last week, I can't remember exactly from last night, but I felt it again, I know. I feel like Dan has been a good *friend* to Blair, and there is attraction and chemistry between them, but there is still a bit more to her not choosing him (because really, she does have the choice now), and it will take some growing and 'getting over himself' on Dan's part. And it's not that Chuck doesn't know what to do to love Blair, he just hasn't been able to be the right man for her. I keep saying it, but those who can, do. Those who can't, teach.
I guess I'm at the point where I don't believe in Chuck and Blair's love, and therefore can't believe that Chuck could teach anyone anything about love. Or for that matter Blair and Louis's because it's too far a swing from Chuck for her. The controlling, abusive (because what Chuck did last season with the glass WAS no matter what they said after the fact) aspects of what Chuck and Blair claim is love just tells me that they're two kids playing at being in love with absolutely no conception of what it actually means. And I think Blair took that and looked at what Louis was offering and thought that this calm, safe thing must be love instead and it's not either. There has to be a reason the show keeps referring to it as a fairytale. There's a reason that those end with the weddings. Because they don't want you to see what comes after. They're showing what comes after.
I mean, you and I are never going to agree on these characters (well, I guess I should never say never, but probably), but I think it all boils down to me enjoying every part of this story. I think it's heading in the direction that you want it to go down. But well, as always, you and I agree to disagree (and then find something else to agree on...if I can ever make my way through ACoK).
Oh! And I was flipping channels the other day and saw Aaron Hill on Criminal Minds and it was SO weird seeing 'Beaver' be serious. I don't think any of them will ever be anyone else for me!
The only thing I would ever use the internet for before dating would be to check out what their relationship status says on Facebook, lol. I've honestly always thought that was an American thing, I don't know anybody who Googles their dates.
Yeah, definitely not getting the "I love this girl," vibe from Maks. I love when Maks is having fun in his pairings and this time...just nope. And it doesn't help that Hope is just not a good dancer.
TRISTAN! I'm rooting for Tristan to be in my life for as long as possible! Yep. Basically... :D
I almost feel like the men and women should be separate competition. Nah, that would be too complicated. Let's just leave it as is, okay? Len: ::rolls his eyes:: All right, then. Totally laughed at this. You are too funny, Ash! :P

Tristan's tongue is the star of this season, in my book. Did you see when he was dancing with Kym last night, while Kelly Clarkson was singing? KC could barely pick jaw up off the floor.
And as for Louis and Karina, did you know they used to be professional partners? I just found that out.

So I take it GG was good?

I didn't know that. That is very cool! I miss Louis being on this season so it was good to see him out there last night.
