Day 15 (can't believe I'm almost halfway through this month...)

Lilly can see things now, more clearly. Well, maybe it’s not that she can see things, but she just knows things. She doesn’t know how, she doesn’t know why it’s a flipped switch as soon as you’re dead, but, still…she just knows. She knows who killed her. She wishes she could tell Veronica, but she can’t. It’s a rule. That’s another thing she just knows.
She knows that her mother lied to them. That was something she could have guessed at, and it isn’t so much a lie as Celeste saw the version of the truth that was most attractive to her and seized on it. How crazy it is that this woman actually wants her husband to have fathered another woman’s child, just so she can keep her precious son to herself…Lilly had no idea how much of a Greek tragedy she was growing up in until she was dead.
She can’t tell Veronica, and she can’t tell Duncan anything but she can try to throw them hints. She can try to bring them into the light. She tries to pull her brother away from his pills. It’s like he lives in the dark all the time.
