I'm Singin' My Song For You...
The Michael Buble concert on Saturday night was so, sooooo good. Far better than I expected it to be. Really, I expected him to be pretty goofy and shmaltzy, and he was sublime. Hilarious, no 'messing about' (costume changes, etc.), and his voice was unreal. Want proof? This is how he ended the night:

I so have a new celebrity crush.
Which makes me wonder on my pattern with celebrity crushes (perhaps extending my taste in men in general).
Right now, it's all Michael, all the time. And pretty recently, I've been crushing on Dancing With The Stars, particularly Maks: *blush*. (And that crush hasn't exactly gone away...Monday nights feel so empty!)
And then, of course before that, there was this:
*How happy are you guys that I found this picture?
And before that was Prison Break (Dominic Purcell and Amaury Nolasco, yum), and before *that* (which was kind of my mini LJ hiatus this year), I was obsessed with Spartacus. So...it seems to go from Big Strong Killing Machines to Song and Dance Men. With not much room in between. I make zero sense.
Speaking of Spartacus, I saw the bad news (two months late) that Andy Whitfield quit the show due to being diagnosed with malignant cancer. Horrible, horrible news, I am so heartsick for him and his family. His role is being re-cast, and the behavior from him and STARZ has just been so...classy. (Seriously, they've held up production for over a year while he was getting treatment for the first round, and this on the heels of the first and biggest hit they've ever had. And even before that, they designed the whole second season around his treatment, as a 'prequel', so that he could rest.) I hope all goes well with him. So, so sad.
As far as the re-cast, I want to be open because everyone is being supportive of it, but I can't even imagine anyone else in that role. Coincidentally, I popped in my season 1 dvd's last night to do a little mini re-watch...
