Does Dancing With The Stars necessitate a cut-tag? Eh, I don't think so.
I'm sad- I think Brandy and Maks are going to be eliminated. Not because they deserve to be- but I feel like everyone else's human interest story was fluffed up a bit more.
Their Paso Doble probably came off a little strange to some- I read his blog, so I knew what it was all about, but they should have put some of the explanation in their clip package (and when I say 'they', I mean the clip producers and the freakin' hard-on they have for the Houghster).
Their Argentine Tango on the other hand? Sublime. First of all, Tango Loves Maks. Just nobody on the show does it like him (for the men anyway...exactly what bitch do I have to cut to get my Maks/Cheryl tango demo?) Second of all, when they played the recap at the end of the show, I just happened to be right close to my tv at that moment...And when Brandy did the back-bend off Maks's shoulders? You could see the hamstring muscle in her leg flex all the way through her thigh. It was freakin' impressive. They were HOT. I didn't know how he would top what he did with Erin, but...I have to say, she did.
I'm so, SO sick of Jennifer. I don't really have a good reason why. But she just irks me. And I don't *want* to be irked by Baby. Speaking of which...call me whatever you like, but I am just totally squicked by her and Derek. There's a really icky Mrs. Robinson feel to them. And her 'solo'? Was a booby shimmy around the judges. Come on, Len, call her on her "messin' about!"
Kyle is adorable, and I really would want him in the finals. (I really *don't* want Jennifer, but I somehow feel like that won't happen.) He really honestly tries so hard, and his form is really there too. His posture has improved. His solo was so cute with the little hi! at the judges table. I'd say it's down to him and Brandy, and unfortunately *my* votes went to Brandy...but I'd still rather he be there than some other people.
And finally Bristol...You know, I have a soft spot for Bristol. She was the only non-performer in this show...maybe one of the only non-performers in a good long while...Helio, maybe? And I'm counting the athletes as 'performers' because all the athletes that have been on the show have spent time in front of cameras and have had PR coaching. Bristol *has* improved. I was actually *very* impressed by her waltz tonight (I love when I agree with Len- makes me feel important and smart). And I'm getting more and more of a soft spot for Mark- especially since I've been imagining myself as a DWTS contestant (shut up)...and realistically I'd be paired with him (because he's short...shut up...I take this very seriously)...
