Gravity Wants To Bring Me Down

Whew, back from FL. I am SO not a good traveler. You know the people who WON'T get off the plane at the end of the flight? Like, they're just talking and laughing and taking 47 minutes to round up their carry-ons? Like, do they not get it? I have the most irrational urge to stab these kinds of people. Several times. (Does this make me a bad ( Read more... )

Ooh, I shall do both!

General Hospital
› favorite character
~Of all time, with consistency, it has to be Robin Scorpio.

› least favorite character
~Of all time, with consistency...Has to be a cross with Sonny, Jason and Carly. (Jason and Carly have probably edged out Sonny in recent years.)

› prettiest character
~Of all time, with consistency (heh)...Well, Vanessa Marcil is still The Most Beautiful Girl In The World to me.

› character I wanna marry
~For a very long time, I would have said Jasper Jacks...Now...Ehhh....I feel like Steve is a nice normal guy who would make a good husband.

› favorite pairing
~Of ALL TIME...Brenda/Jax. Forever and without question (of any show, of any fandom, EVER).

› favorite episode
~Yeash....Episode....That one we'll have to skip, though I'd love to have a nice, lengthy conversation some time about storyline....(Maybe I'll set up a poll some time this week).

› unpopular opinion
~The greatest thing about soap fandom, and GH in particular, is that it is so widespread, you can probably always find some corner that shares your opinions. Hmmmm...The one thing I do like to do is make up pairings out of thin air. So those pairings are 'unpopular', because...I'm the only one who's ever thought of them.

I LOVE Robin.

My mom has watched GH since she was a teenager, and got me into it about ten years ago, and while I get super-behind during the school year, I always make her sum up the week for me, story wise, about the characters I care about.

And Vanessa Marcil is GORGEOUS, I have to agree. :)

One of the things I love most about soaps is the fashion. The pretty girls always get the cutest, most fashionable outfits and haircuts. Kristen Storms, I think, while I don't always like Maxie's storylines, always is really pretty. She's like the Aimee Teegarden/Julie Taylor of GH, in terms of perfect-face-symmetry and pretty hair.

I've watched GH since...oh gosh...1993 or so? And I can remember back to about the mid-eighties, when I was five or so. And I don't *really* watch it now, day to day, but I always know what's going on. It's my Forever Fandom. Even when it's killing me.

GH has been doing pretty well with the clothes lately. And I love me some KS/Maxie. Her hair gets a little crazy sometimes, but she does always dress really well.

She's like the Aimee Teegarden/Julie Taylor of GH, in terms of perfect-face-symmetry and pretty hair.

Oh, we clearly have LOTS in common. ^_^ I ADORE Julie Taylor/Aimee Teegarden.

Aimee Teegarden's face is PERFECT. I read in your FNL post above that you love Julie too, and I'm SO glad. I feel like it's a really popular thing to hate her so much, and I just don't get it. Yeah, she's a teenager, and yeah, sometimes I wanted to slap her, but she's so INTERESTING and opinionated and smart. She's definitely my favorite female character on FNL, possibly even more so than Tami. (With Tami, I love her exponentially more when she's in scenes with Eric or Julie, and less so when she's just on her own at work.)

Like, I don't know how this will make me sound, but not only is Julie Taylor a teenager but she is me. Me, me, me as a teenager. I did not understand when I was being selfish, I did not fully understand my opportunities at the time, and when I hear her and Tami fight, it is uncomfortably deja vu to me.

OH GOD, me too. Completely me too. The Tami/Julie fights are so reminiscent of fights I had with my mom, down the crying and slamming doors and everything. I think I like Julie because I see a lot of myself in her, personality wise. Oh, FNL... honestly, the best thing ever on television.
